Chapter 16
Joys were joys, but all the fun had to come to an end. It was the day for the Ft Island guys and SNSD girls to part, Ft Island back to their schedules and touring and the SNSD girls up with another collaboration, this time with Super Junior. The house had a solemn mood around it. Final recordigns were done, videos filmed and photos taken. The guys whirled around throwing clothes into luggages and packing toiletries up.
Hongki and Minhwan walked around the house together, savouring every moment spent with the girls. "I confessed to Sooyoung here," Minhwan grinned, pointing to the corridor outside his room. Hongki clapped him on his back and the two exchanged a smile. They walked down the staircase together and out into the lawn.
"And here was my moment with Jessica," Hongki recalled, gazing out into the lawn. "I spent some precious moments here too," Minhwan remarked. The both of them settled onto the lawn, just staring out at the lush greenery, every touch, every word, every scene, all replaying in their heads.
"They're really going now," Sooyoung sighed. Jessica smiled. "Yeah," she said. "It's a pity, it seems like a really short time they've been here," Sooyoung said. "You mean from the time you and-" Jessica was shushed by Sooyoung as she pointed to the other girls. "Hey you girls, let's go, Manager Han is going to make a speech," Sunny called. "Farewell speech?" Jessica asked. "Yeah," Yoona said, rolling her eyes. Tiffany laughed and Yuri dragged them both out of the room.

"Alright, firstly, I'm very proud of you guys. It's been AWESOME! Secondly, I hope we'll have more collaborations together and finally, these are your final edited recordings!" Manager Han announced loudly, and music blared on in the studio. "Love Story" was first on the track and for many, it was the best recording done and everyone embraced each other.
Jessica had one arm around Sooyoung's waist and the other around Sunny. Seohyun, Yuri and Jaejin had their arms around each others shoulders and Hongki fooled around with Minhwan and Seunghyun. Taeyeon and Dong Jun shook hands while Tiffany hugged both Hyoyeon and Yoona.
Soon, they were already at the airport, bidding each other farewell. Hongki carrassed Jessica's face and hugged her tightly. "I'll miss you," he said softly. Jessica nodded, not daring herself to speak less tears came. She hugged him back just as tight, and they stayed like that in a locked embraced.
Minhwan kissed Sooyoung on the top of her head and she buried herself in his arms. Minhwan smiled at her. "Love you," he said lightly and she nodded. "Love you back," she whispered.
The boys started filing into the departure area. The girls waved till they could wave no more, as did the guys. Jessica's eyes were fixed on Hongki. He blew her a kiss, and she caught and ate it. He smiled at her. "The power of love at first sight is the strongest," he mouthed. Jessica nodded, smiling.
She would always hold that close to her heart.
