The building itself was still quiet in the middle of the night as Dave unlocked the apartment door, followed by a still red faced Kurt who was still cradling his baby bulge in his hands.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be." Dave tried unsuccessfully to stifle the yawn. "Better safe than sorry, right? You going to call Sebastian."
Kurt nodded, waddling into the open kitchen area of Dave's apartment, "In the morning; he'd probably be too tired to process it was only Braxton-Hicks."
Dave had to agree as he rubbed his ees, "I'm glad that all it was. My best friend leaves his pregnant boyfriend for me to keep safe for a week while he's out for business, and you go into labor. It was like living a nightmare..." He caught a glimpse of the confusion and amusement fleeting across Kurt's face, "I mean he'd probably blame me for inducing you and then kill me for being at his kid's birth instead of him.'
Knowing the words were true, Kurt let loos an amused laugh, "You're probably right."
"That's the scary par." Dave stretched and pulled off his hoodie, "I'm going to head to bed." He paused as he passed Kurt, resting a hand on the soon to be born baby, "And you should too; no more scaring your Daddy and Uncle Dave, okay, kiddo?"
