So, yeah, tonight is Supernatural. Um...I need more sugar right now because my sleepiness is drowning out a bunch of my excitement. BUT I PARTIED FOR A FEW HOURS IN THE
ontd_spnparty PRE-PARTY, AND SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS, I LOVE YOU ALL. I tried watching show on a stream, but that was an utter failure. I got about 20 minutes in and then the stream started jacking up. So...I'll be watching in half an hour :D I have to say, what I DID see, I did not hate :) Anyways, I had an entertaining day at school and I feel like telling the ~story~ of why I absolutely love my english teacher. Who is also my elective teacher. And my main/house teacher. It's a good thing I like her.
So, apparently the class she has before us on Tuesdays and Fridays are evil little devils that frustrate her to no end. So she wasn't in the best of moods when we went into class today. But since she loves us so much, I think some of her stress melted away. Anyways, yeah, we had a party during house/2nd block, and that was fun. Some people played Twister...I only played one round. It's surprisingly hard, especially when it's so easy. Anyways, after house was elective. Being 'Japanese contemporary culture', we just watch anime in there. So, while we were watching anime, I was sitting there munching on all the party food with my bottle of orange crush that I took for myself, and the wittle freshman were all "you had a party? Can we eat some of the food? Why did you have a party?" and my teacher happily told them "it was for my house, no you cannot eat that food, it's for my house, and you are not in my house, because I love them." So, um. Yeah :p After we saw two episodes of anime, I turned around to find my teacher sitting behind my grading the evil writing thing I was stressing about for the past two days. I tried to ignore it, while in my head I was screaming OH DEAR LORD, PLEASE EITHER HAVE ALREADY GRADED MINE, OR DO NOT GRADE MINE WHILE I'M AWARE OF YOU GRADING. I DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT I GOT, I DON'T WANT TO KNOW. I did not find out, by the way.
And THEN. 4th block was a ~PEP~ rally. That apparently everyone thinks is lame because we have no sports to pep for. Anyways, in between 3rd and 4th block I went to the bathroom, and then when I was going back to the classroom I found one of my friends and dragged her back with me. We were GOING to check in to prove we were there and didn't just vanish, but then, lo and behold, who should be there but the two drama guys. (SERIOUSLY UNIVERSE. I WILL EVENTUALLY MAKE FRIENDS WITH THEM. LATER. WHEN WE GET MORE INTO THE COMMUNICATIONS PART OF THE PROJECT, OK?) So me and my friend ended up staying in there until about 12:36 (Fridays are short days, school gets out at 12:55). It was WONDERFUL. The four of us students and my teacher, just sitting there trying to pass time and talking. She was grading the last thingamajig, and reading her email, and complaining to us, and it was glorious.
Things I learned, in the present tense: we are going to have a student teacher, boy, probably nerdy, and he will be in his first semester meaning he will only be observing; we will NOT be having a student teacher because the college says they are not allowed to be in our classrooms without A WHOLE LOT OF RANDOM STUFF on file; almost everyone simply did not get the thingamajig and got it wrong; she likes the girls in the class before us ok, it's the guys she can't stand; Original Drama Dude (the one not in my group) is pretty mellow and quiet in class basically because the setting is different, it's more academic whereas while acting it's entertainment, and also maybe a little bit that he doesn't like people 'fawning over him', which I am unfortunately guilty of; Drama Dude 2 really liked the sociology class form yesterday, as did I; and other stuff that I can't remember.
Then we slowly walked up to the gym for the pep rally, because none of us wanted to go but none of us wanted to get in trouble, and for about half that admittably short walk I had a conversation with my teacher about books. She is of the opinion that there should be a standard, or list, of books that people should have to read so everyone has more or less the same literary understanding. Also, that the bible should be read in schools on a literary basis, because there are so many allusions to it in literature. One example of things my teacher is annoyed at is that in most schools, freshmen read Romeo and Juliet. I did at my old school. Here, the freshman english teacher apparently hates Romeo with the intensity of the sun, so leaves it for the juniors to read. And all this started out with me mentioning how Esperanza Rising is absolutely everywhere. Because it is. I read it in elementary school, I'd randomly see a copy somewhere in a classroom, every book fair there's a copy, here a copy, there a copy, English copy, Spanish copy, copy copy book! Heehee :p Um, but yeah, there's a poster in the class with a bunch of books on it, and it says you can't get into college without reading them. Apparently there are a lot of books I have yet to read...but yeah, Esperanza Rising was on there.
Also, I am officially declaring myself a Kurt/Sam shipper. I still ship Puck/Kurt, but
emocezi and
setos_puppy's collaboration fic won me over. And, please tell me, WHY CAN'T I FIND ANY OTHER DECENT FICS?! No offense to other authors, but, well, first of all there are hardly any in the first place. Oh, and my standards are it has to be written after the season actually started. But, yeah, most of it seems to be Sam/Puck, and all that is mostly NC-17 and I'm REALLY not much of a porn person. /end rant
ANYWAYS THIS ENTRY APPARENTLY TOOK MY HALF AN HOUR BECAUSE SUPERNATURAL IN ~4 MINUTES, I AM EXCITE WEEEEEEEEE.
