Don't you hate being the one doing all the work?

So, I wasn't going to say anything on here about this, but I'm tired and angry.

Here's the deal. We have one more week of school left, and finals projects are getting due. I've finished my math project, my english project, my spanish project, and my history project. All I have left is a PE worksheet that I have to do (and completely forgot about it until this very minute. OH GOD, I'M PROBABLY GOING TO FORGET AGAIN) and my science project.

The science project was to pick an animal in your group, and find out all this stuff about it. There was a 2 page, double-sided worksheet that we had to fill out, and it was basically an outline for the powerpoint and essay we also have to do. There are 5 people in my group. None of us took it seriously. I did more than half of the worksheets, and another girl finished it. Let's call her Girl A. My friend wasn't here for the first days we started it, so she didn't have a group, but the teacher let her join ours. She'll be Girl B. There is another girl who's name I couldn't tell you if you asked, will be Girl C, and the only boy will be Boy A.

We have the Siberian Tiger. I LOVE wild cats, so I was happy. The problem is, I've already done the majority of the work, and both Girl B and C and Boy A have none next to nothing. We told Boy A to do the rough draft of the essay, and what did he bring? A copy-and-pasted article. His excuse? "I didn't have the packet of information." Now, this boy is an honors student. He's in English honors, Science honors, History honors, and Algebra 2 (most of us are in Geometry). He's a smart person. Which is why I'm so utterly infuriated with him. (I'm seriously considering letting my teacher give him a zero. I've done it before. He used to be in my lab group, and one time we were doing a lab and he was walking around talking to everyone instead of helping us. I erased his name and felt totally powerful in doing so.)

Now. Our powerpoint needs to be close to done by tomorrow, and we need to show it to our teacher. We tried it on the computer in class, but it's an old computer and the programs on it suck really, really bad. I don't trust Girl C or Boy A to be in charge of making the powerpoint, and Girls A and B have projects due tomorrow that they have to work on. Guess who that leaves? Ugh. And today was going pretty good until then.

See, we also had an awards assembly today. I got awards AND medals in English, Math, and Science(which is special because while a lot of people got the certificates, only a handful in each subject actually got the medals). So I was feeling so very smart, and then I presented in History today. My group did WONDERFULLY except one of the girls (there were 3 of us) who didn't really do much work had next to no idea what she was saying, and add  that to being nervous, she stumbled a lot. But we still did pretty good.

UGH. Sometimes it sucks to actually care about your grades, especially when it makes you the responsible person who will take care of everything so it's ok to slack off.

Grrrr I'm really mad with girl-in-History-group and Girl C and Boy A. (Girl B is a friend, and I'm biased so even though she has done little work I'm still not mad at her. I DO WISH I WAS MAD AT HER THOUGH). In other news, although I find the awards no big deal, my family apparently does and so I GET THE FANCY PIZZA TOMORROW. Mmmmmm, pizzaaaaaaaaa. (I got sit-down Chinese today, because my aunt and uncle had to go to a rosary)

Well. I've ranted to both my family and you, lovely lj. I'm sure I'll get over it soon enough.

Actually, I also scolded (SCOLDED. Seriously.) Boy A. I wanted to yell and/or smack him, but I held it in. But I really did say, in more or less words, "You know what, in the history project I did all the work. I'm tired of being the one doing all the work. Copy and pasting isn't a rough draft. You've done nothing. At least she *points to Girl C* has been sitting in front of the computer trying to do research, but you keep distracting her." Later, before class ended, he asked what he was supposed to do. I gave him a bitchy smile and said, "Get a zero." I don't think I really meant that. As a project it's probably worth a good amount of points, and I don't want to be a complete bitch. But seriously, he can't go rub it into my face that he's taking Algebra 2 (same math class last year, our teacher only egged on our competition) and then go and be a totaly slacker. Ugh. I want to punch him sooo badly. Which I actually did do, before I got super mad at him. We sit next to each other in english, and he told me to punch his arm the other day and I did and WHY THE FREAK IS HE SUCH A FIXTURE IN MY LIFE?!?!?!?! And his sister is one of my best friends.

If you read through all of that, I really hope you found that entertaining. I know I get entertainment out of posts like this, when I'm not the one writing them. Sorry for the complete lack or organization, I'm tired and I'm saving my writing energy for the essay that will probably fall on my shoulders yet again. Whatever. Ok, I need to cheer myself up, um, uh...
