This is so perfect. I don't know if I can write a coherent review right now, so I'm not going to bother trying. Stream of consciousness, that's how I roll when I get all ♥_♥

Thank you, thank you, thank you. My absolute favorite kind of fic is something quiet and introspective, with angst that's not over the top, so this is like my birthday and Christmas rolled into one! I don't know how you did it, but you wrote me something that I didn't even know I wanted in exactly the style I love, even though it doesn't show in any of my prompts. Bravo!

Jesse and Kurt are spot on. I love the slow progression of their relationship, with Jesse resisting all the way, and how Kurt won his heart without trying too hard, just by being there.

There is something else about Kurt that is unreadable. Sometimes he'll look at Kurt, and Kurt will look at him, and it's like looking into his own steadfast gaze; other times Kurt will be so transparently sad or happy or angry that Jesse almost feels embarrassed for him. YES. THAT'S KURT. I like how you compared him to the way his eyes change color.

Kurt playing guitar, Kurt appearing in Jesse's (non-sexy) dreams, Kurt's late night phone calls--all these little details were lovely.

Perhaps my favorite thing is the air of mystery you created. The things you didn't say--what Jesse's dreams were about, the name Kurt came up with for the band--add to the introspective mood, like they are too precious to say out loud.

This is a fic that I'll be able to read over and over and enjoy even more every time. In case you can't tell, I love it and I love you for writing it.
