That wasn't my point. I'm aware of Matt's vocal abilities, and yes, they are strong. But Prince's vocals are unique and impossible to replicate. Certain singers are easy to do covers of and do justice to those songs, other singers and songs are impossible to cover without looking like a poor man's version. Freddie Mercury is one of those, so is Florence Welch and so is Prince. They OWN those songs. You could get the best singer in the world to come in and sing Kiss, but it still would not be as good as the original.

Matt is good, maybe even ''technically'' up there with him, but his tone and charisma isn't even close. Few are.

This is Huge News! Glee should be very happy that they can get the license to sing a prince song, since he rarely ever lets Television use his music.

I'm just glad its not "Purple Rain", since that is one of my favorite songs ever and no can truly do justice to that. But, Prince is a very hard artist to cover.

But my first thought was that I was shocked that Prince would allow them the license to use his music. He's usually so selective.

Yeah, I was really surprised that he'd allow it. I remember how stunned I was when he walked on stage during the S5 Idol finale, even, and he was the one singing his stuff!
