Second season filming is well underway and the Kurt/Sam relationship is becoming a major fan favorite, they've won a bunch of GLAAD recognition/praise from various magazines and critics for the positive message they're showing with featuring a gay relationship so prominently on the show. And while Chris denies it when the other members of the cast tease him about it, he is very quickly developing a mega crush on his co-star.
Then he reads an interview in some men's magazine his co-star gives in which he talks about how kissing another man is totally freaky and gross and he has to immediatly go and fuck like, ten girls afterwards to stop feeling weird, and how he thinks two dudes together is something kids shouldn't be watching on television at night, but what are ya gonna do? A paycheck is a paycheck and he's learning he's an even better actor than he ever though, so at least he's getting something out of the experience.
Chris is of course absolutely humiliated and completely devestated. How is he supposed to face this guy and make nice at work everyday knowing this is what he really thinks of him? What if he can't do it? How will he tell Ryan? He's already the youngest memeber of the cast and he works really hard to be a professional and be taken seriously, but if he can't get past this, he's just going to look like an over emotional child.
And then either Cory or Mark (up to author) comforts Chris and tell him he's totally justified in being upset b/c what this dude said is cruel and narrow minded and wrong. Saying that anyone would be lucky to kiss someone as amazing and sexy and sweet and smart as Chris and then confessing that he has actually been dying to kiss Chris for months...
The rest of the cast being completely 100% in Chris' corner and totally protective and supportive of him. For example, when asshole coworker comes in the next day all 'what'd I do? I'm allowed to have an opinion.', it takes three people to hold Amber back from ripping his head off.
Bonus if without Chris even saying anything, Ryan immediatly writes the guy out of the show. Double bonus if it's in some completely random and gruesome way--like the next episode is everyone going to Sam's memorial service after he's eaten by bears on a camping trip.
"Newsflash, douchebag! Don't shit where you live! I created you and I can destroy you just as quickly!"
Evil coworker is unable to find any steady gigs because now he has a reputation as being homophobic and unprofessional/difficult to work with, so he gets to sit at home and watch Chris Colfer's career go supernova all while being blissfully happy with his equally superstar sexy boyfriend.
The last scene in the story being evil coworker sitting on the couch watching Cory/Mark accept an award and being all "Chris, I know I couldn't have done this without your support and love. You're the best thing in my life and I can't wait to spend the rest of it with you. I love you, baby." while everyone in the audience awwwws.

Seconded! As much as I'm sure the new actor is a very nice person and feel slightly guilty about wanting to see him villified like this, I can't pass up the opportunity to see Ryan Murphy and Co. revenge kill a character on a satirical teen angst comedy musical. Dear lord. The possibilities are staggering.
