Not sure if it's quite what you were hoping for, but I haven't seen any eps with Gideon in forever. But I did the best I could. Hope you like it. :-)

“Sup, Spence?” Puck greeted cheerfully as he answered his phone, earning odd looks from the rest of the Gleeks. And an annoyed look from Rachel as he had stopped mid-rehearsal to answer the call.
“He’s not with you, is he?”
Puck frowned at the question. “What? Who’s not with me?”
“Your dad. He’s not there, is he?”
“Uh, no. Should he be? I didn’t think he had any vacation coming up. Shouldn’t he be with you since you two, ya know, work together?” Puck asked, getting a bad feeling.
“He...he left.”
“What do you mean, he left? Seriously, Spencer, you’re starting to worry me, man,” Puck said, ignoring the fact that the rest of the Gleeks were blatantly eavesdropping on his side of the conversation.
“Gideon’s gone. He left me a letter, but…he’s gone, Noah.”
“He just up and left?! Are you kidding me?!” Everyone listening in could tell Puck wasn’t happy with what he was hearing.
“He…There was a case, Noah. The guy….the guy killed a friend of your dad’s.”
“Shit.” Puck let out a deep sigh and ran his hand over his Mohawk. “I haven’t seen him or heard from him, but if I do, I’ll let him know you’re worried, okay?”
“Thanks.”
“No problem, Spence. You’re practically family, man. I swear, he all but adopted you,” Puck said. “You should stop by next time you’re in Ohio, it’s been a while.”
“I’ll see what I can do.”
Puck smiled slightly as he heard the smile in the other man’s voice. “Well, I gotta go. I’m at Glee rehearsal and I’m pretty sure at least one person is about to fall off their chair from leaning over trying to eavesdrop. Not to mention that if Rachel’s looks could kill, I’d be dead a few times over by now.”
Spencer laughed softly on the other line. “I’ll let you go then. Take care of yourself, Noah.”
“You too, Spencer.”
Puck hung up and turned to look at the Gleeks, all of whom tried unconvincingly to look like they hadn’t just been eavesdropping, including Rachel, even though she also looked annoyed at rehearsal having been interrupted for a personal phone call.
“Well, are you all just gonna stand there staring at me or are we gonna finish rehearsing this?” Puck asked, making it clear that he wasn’t going to tell them what his phone call had been about. His dad being MIA wasn’t any of their business and he’d be damned if he let them see just how worried he was.

Thanks! I actually have an idea for a longer story that would involve Reid coming to McKinley (and would be completely seperate from this), but I still need to work out details for it.

*grins* Glad you liked it! I tried to figure out something where Gideon was actually involved, but its been so long since I saw an ep with Gideon that I just couldn't do it.
