"I am an excellent dancer," Rachel Berry insisted to River, her roommate at the government-sponsered Academy. "I deserve that solo!"
"You dance like dying dinosaur," River replied. "The mere concept that you can dance better than me is fallacious."
"If you take this solo from me, I'll put turpentine in your apple juice," Rachel threatened. The arts programs at the Academy were cutthroat.
"I'll throw up in your bed," River replied. "But, I think, are we having this argument?"
"Yes. No. I can't remember," Rachel said, her face furrowed up.
They were having the argument. BUt neither one of them knew how to say, in words or in thoughts that their minds were having this conversations, while they were strapped to chairs, across from one another, in well-funded government laboratory.
