Rogue looked at the smoking ruin that was all that was left of the Xavier Mansion, her arms folded firmly across her chest. The remains of several Sentinels were scattered across the previously lucious green grounds.
"I can't believe this," she said. "We just got the place rebuilt!"
"We should probably invest in some force fields," said Kitty.
"And a cloaking device," added Gambit.
"Oh and can we get some of those cute little pink flamingoes?" asked Bobby.
Everyone looked at him.
"What?" Bobby asked. "Not like my suggestion is any sillier than yours."
"Ahem," Professor Xavier said, cutting into their conversation. "I need some time to talk to Insurance. In the meantime, my X-men, before the arrival of the Sentinels, I noticed that there's been a spike in the manifestation of mutant powers in Ohio. I have already programmed the Blackbird with the co-ordinates."
"What exactly are we looking for?" asked Scott.
"An unsually large amount of people all developing mutant powers at once," the Professor replied. "You'll know them when you find them. You'd better go, too, Logan."
"Yeah?" Logan replied, and with a 'snikt' his claws emerged. "I figured I'd give you a hand talking to the Insurance company."
"Yes, I know," Professor Xavier said dryly. "I'd prefer to make my claim without bloodshed, thank you."
