I was one of the people who argued incessantly with chatnonnies after the shitstorm went down but as frustrating as it is, the mod team should present a unified front when they take a decision. it's not good for the comm if one of them talks about things they've decided as a group not to touch.
and really, the only person who should be offering any kind of explanation is candy_dy.

but for whatever reason, candy_dy isn't explaining. so the mods should at least say if they know anything about it that we don't rather than just letting us bring up this old!wank time after time and always coming to the same conclusion that we don't actually know whether she was trying to mess with g_a or not and that it'd help if we knew whether she attempted to ask the other mods.

From what I know, she did try to contact the other mods but wasn't able to reach them. In the heat of the moment, she made the decision that it was against the rules, and didn't hear from the other mods for at least a few hours after the fact. IMO, that doesn't make it less of a mistake and she ought to have apologized.

I guess I don't see the point of that. does it really matter why she did it? the thing is that she did it when she shouldn't have, and that if she'd had a little more distance, which as a chatnonnie who was named in the list, she did not, she might've had a different opinino.
I'd like her to apologize or explain her side of things, but the other mods aren't going to say anything that's going to make the people who dislike her for this dislike her less. esp. this late in the game.

2. other mod corrects the mistake and sweeps everything under the rug.
3. mod #1 never offers an explanation.

Considering who candy_dy is and what she runs in fandom, probably not.
