For me, it's between that, Naya Rivera's Artie, where the posture and demeanor were magnificent, and Chris Colfer's Finn, with the exact swagger walk
( ... )

Yeeah, agreed! Naya Rivera looks amazing as Artie, and I loved Chris Colfer's Finn comments to Tina in the classroom.
I would have LOVED an episode of body-swap, but I like how they handled it & the end of it. I'm a little surprised about the Tina message & the continuity of some of the arguments against her, but also: Yay! She's a lead singer next year.
Agreed about Rachel - that type of obsessing just simply wouldn't work at all. But then I'm surprised - I thought they would have flown to New York & auditioned there? Agreed about Rachel - I would have preferred that. Frankly, as much as I like them, the song quality from S1 to S3 in competitions feels like it's dropped significantly :( I would have LOVED the Journey medley for this, I think.
Puck/Beiste was fricken amazing. I wish we saw more of it BEFORE the end of the season!
Agreed on Sue - it's taken them ages, but they finally have the right balance. I loved S1's Sue, but they had to progress her more, and it's worked.

For the performances, they really took advantage of the ensemble a lot better than usual. Paradise by the Dashboard Light was definitely the strongest, mostly because of that. And Finn sounded better than he ever has, IMHO.
We Are the Champions was another one where they were singing their hearts out and enjoying every minute of it, and it was so infectious.

Now that I've re-watched it (pesky livestreams & not being in the US!) I liked them all. I originally hated Edge of Glory and Paradise by the Dashboard Light, while disliking how they cut It's All Coming Back To Me Now. Now that I've seen them again - I do genuinely like them and I agree. Using the ensemble gave it an energy that isn't always there.
Paradise is definitely one of their stronger performance with the energy not feeling like two-three lead soloists/others swaying in the background - it really felt like a group performance. It was an act - not just a song.
We Are The Champions was pretty amazing, yes :) It was definitely infectious.
Funny enough, I was listening to I Say A Little Prayer and a few other S1 songs a few days ago and to compare them until now, shows how much they've definitely improved. I guess doing 400 performances was good for something!

Honestly, my thoughts are that it was so refreshing to watch a two hour episode of a TV show in May and not worry about someone getting killed off or some huge changing ciffhanger or the show ending without knowing if someone lives or dies.

Heh. I heard House and NCIS may have done that this year. Definitely seems to be something to do this year!
I admit, for all of Glee's faults & things to make you angry at: I just love that you can have between 3-5 performances in 40 minutes, and just enjoy seeing people dance & perform.

Hawaii 5-O, NCIS, NCIS LA, CSI, Grey's Anatomy, Castle, The Vampire Diaries, Once Upon a Time, 90210, too many cliffhangers with death/possible death. And sweeps isn't over and then summer shows start. Why do I love TV again?
