Overall, meh. Ricky Martin seemed to have guest star syndrome, like Gwynneth Paltrow, where he's the one to show up, liven things up, and teach a valuable lesson or at least catalyze a valuable lesson. His songs were great, it was just, well, guest star syndrome.

I loved seeing and hearing more Santana.

More of those angst-filled throwaway lines, like Puck's expecting himself to be in jail or dead by 2030. Uh, Will, a great teacher who cares about his kids might listen to that...

Sue as a mom. You know, I could actually see it.

Great to see the show recognizing and addressing Latino stereotypes and how so many teachers still rely on them. I loved Finn thinking that Will in the matador costume was actually Kurt.

Now for the sarcasm. Especially a show that's so ground-breaking and holistic in how it treats black characters. Maybe I'm being unfair there because by now I'm very much getting the impression that Mercedes is afraid to break up with Shane and that there's relationship violence going on. Which, if it's not a red herring, would make the black male characters on the show either gone (Matt) or football-playing thugs (Azimo and Shane). So we have the aggressive, loud Roz (Ros?), the food-loving and sometimes lazy diva Mercedes, and, uhm, erm, uhm, who else?

Good to see Finn and Kurt actually having a moment's brotherly interaction. Great line about how if Finn feels they need to hide it, maybe that should tell him something.
