“What do we have here?”
Kurt was startled from his sleep by a hand grabbing his arm. Opening his eyes Kurt was faced by a bald man with a moustache and goatee looking at him. The man was standing on the ladder, Kurt tried to pull his arm away but the man just held tighter, grinning wide and chuckling.
“I never thought I’d get so lucky. You’re almost as pretty as a girl.”
Kurt’s eyes widened and he redoubled his efforts to pull his arm away to no avail.
“Let go! Please!” Kurt cried, trying once more to pull away.
“You even sound like one!” The man’s smile grew wider and then he let go of Kurt’s arm and climbed the rest of the way onto the bunk and grabbed Kurt’s arm again, pulling Kurt close to his body while Kurt struggled. “I bet you’re nearly hairless, aren’t you?” The man whispered into Kurt’s ear, his hand working up Kurt’s shirt to stroke at Kurt’s chest.
Kurt started to scream but the man covered his mouth and forced him onto his stomach, covering Kurt with his body. Kurt couldn’t believe this was happening to him, hadn’t even thought about the possibility when he pled guilty.
Kurt couldn’t control his sobs as the man forced him to endure something he had hoped to one day share with Blaine when he was ready.

One year and a half later (Kurt is 19)
Burt was helping Finn pack up the rest of his things, it was September and Finn had wanted to come and visit for a week before classes started and he had to go back to New York for his second year. It was hard to believe that Finn was attending NYU, two years ago Burt thought he’d be doing this with Kurt and-
Burt stopped thinking about that.
Burt hadn’t seen Kurt at all since he was sent to prison. He’d try to go see Kurt a couple months after Kurt had been put in jail but his son had been refusing visitors. Burt had contacted Blaine to find out if he had been to see Kurt only to find out Kurt wasn’t willing to see anyone, including Blaine. Burt was surprised by how little that seemed to bother him, he still loved Kurt but the knowledge that his son was capable of murder sickened him so it was better if they didn’t speak, at least for the time being.
“Burt?” Burt looked up to find Carole standing in the doorway holding the phone out to him. “The phone’s for you.”
Burt took the phone, nodding to Finn that he would be back before walking into the hallway, smiling at Carole on his way out.
“Hello? Burt speaking.”
“Mr. Hummel? This Andrew Miller, Kurt’s attorney.”
“What? Is something wrong?”
“To be honest, I can’t say for sure whether anything is wrong. I received a phone call informing me that new evidence has come to light regarding your son’s case, it sounded urgent and I thought you might want to come with me to the department.”
“Uhm, yeah I guess, I can be ready in twenty minutes.”
“Alright, I’ll be by to pick you up.” Andrew responded before hanging up.
