Providing he didn't die.
Sebastian pushes the thought away as quickly as it comes, but it doesn't stop the knot of dread that's tightening in his stomach.
Sebastian decides that he doesn't feel bad about what he did to Kurt. The knot in his stomach and the vague feeling of nausea is caused by the possibility that he could get in so much trouble for the whole ordeal. He doesn't want the guilt, nor does he want the self-hatred. He's just scared that he'll get caught.
Honestly.
Sebastian finally feels motivated enough to leave his soft sheets and warm pillow. It's a Sunday morning, surprisingly warm and very sunny, and after his visit with Kurt, Sebastian plans on being as unproductive as possible.
That good mood lasts until he walks down the stairs.
From the kitchen, Sebastian can hear the eleven o' clock morning news from the T.V. in the living. He hears his mother laughing and his father talking about something that Sebastian doesn't care to understand. Something about the country club. But Sebastian smiles to himself anyways. He pours himself a cup of the leftover coffee in the coffeepot, humming lowly to himself.
Bits and pieces of the news floats in through the doorway leading to the living room. Sebastian just hears random words that don't really make sense to him, but he sips his coffee anyways, trying to figure out why a cat would make the headlines.
"And in other news, the son of newly elected congressman Burt Hummel was rushed to the hospital yesterday evening around 4:30 p.m. due to a severe allergic reaction."
Sebastian freezes, and the way that his stomach drops makes him feel physically ill, and he leans forward, one palm on the kitchen counter. He hears his mother making a sympathetic tsking noise. He slowly sets his coffee mug down on the counter.
"Officials say that Kurt Hummel, age eighteen, was found unconscious in a parking garage on the west side of Lima."
Sebastian steps into the living room. A (maybe a school?) picture of Kurt smiling appears next to the anchorwoman on the T.V. He feels shaky, unstable, but like with a devastating car wreck, he can't bear to look away as the anchorwoman goes into more detail.
"After a 911 call, Kurt was found on the ground of the garage, doused in what seemed to be an ice drink from a nearby 7-11. One of their 'slushie' cups was found abandoned next to Kurt's body. Paramedics were able to immediately take control of the situation and bring Kurt to Lima General."
Sebastian hesitantly takes a seat on the couch next to his father. The three of them are intently listening to the news now, not making a sound.

Sebastian sinks back into the cushions. Could his parents tell just from the look on his face? Did he even have a look on his face?
"Kurt is currently in a stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery."
The tension in Sebastian's shoulders significantly lessens. He would cry out in relief, maybe start singing out of joy, but he doesn't want to raise his parents' suspicions. He instead lets out a silent breath of relief.
"The Hummel-Hudson family has refused to comment on the situation, but Burt Hummel has released the following statement: 'No one pushes my family around, and we're gonna find the bastard that did this.'"
"Poor Kurt," Sebastian's mother comments. His father nods in agreement.
"I thought you didn't agree with Hummel's politics," Sebastian says. If his voice wavers, his parents doesn't notice.
"Yeah, but I can sympathize," his father says. "I couldn't imagine what I would do if you were the one in the hospital."
Sebastian nods, feeling startling numb, but his heart his racing much to fast to be healthy.
Maybe they'll never find out it was him. Maybe Kurt won't say anything. Maybe Kurt hadn't said anything. He let Sebastian go for slushie-ing Blaine, right? It is essentially the same thing.
Except Blaine wasn't nearly killed, was he?
Sebastian ignores that thought and clings to the small fragment of hope that he has. The two situations are the same, he is sure of it. Then Kurt will believe his own "being the bigger person" bullshit, and everything will be fine.
Except… parents are involved. And if Burt Hummel's statement is anything to go by, Sebastian has a sinking feeling that he'll go to many lengths to find out who did this to his son, whether or not Kurt is cooperative in condemning Sebastian.
Sebastian feels like he's suffocating, his chest tightening uncomfortably.
His parents leave for the day, mentioning the name of a place Sebastian doesn't bother to catch. And then he is alone, a large mansion-like house that is both empty and suffocating. The morning news switches over to a daytime soap opera eventually, and the snarky voices of the television characters fill the room.
Sebastian shifts in his seat, uncomfortable even in his own home.
He isn't sure whether or not he should go see Kurt. Somewhere, in the back of his mind, Sebastian feels his moral obligations urging him on, and maybe it is a good idea to check on Kurt and see how he is doing. But somewhere in the forefront of his mind, Sebastian knows that if Kurt had told his dad what had happened the night before, Sebastian would be dead the minute he steps foot inside the hospital.
And when the doorbell rings, Sebastian's heart drop from his chest into the fathomless, churning pit that is his stomach.
The doorbell rings once more after twenty seconds, but it is the urgent and solid knock at the door that has Sebastian get up from his seat in the living room. He feels like he's trapped in a bad horror movie as he walks to the front door, and that the audience in the theater is screaming at him to go the other way.
Sebastian is as pale as a marble statue when he opens the door.
"Sebastian Smythe?"
He nods dumbly, taking in the tall officer's uniform.
"You're under arrest for the assault of Kurt Hummel."
