He runs again when he finally parks his car in his parent's driveway, all the way up to his room.
Sebastian is breathing heavily, and he paces around his room, not knowing what to do now. A million thoughts run through his head, but there is one sentence in particular that stands out.
You just killed someone.
Sebastian doesn't know when he had started crying, but his face is a wet, snotty mess.
Sebastian takes a couple of deep breaths and sits on his bed. He rubs his face with his hands as he tries to calm down. Kurt would be okay. He is nothing, if not a fighter. Sebastian even realizes that.
A knock at the door startles Sebastian out of his thoughts. "Sebastian?"
Sebastian inhales a deep, silent breath and exhales just as quietly. "Yeah, Mom?"
"Are you okay?" his mother calls through the door. "You sound upset."
"I'm fine," Sebastian says coolly.
"Could you at least open the door?"
"I'm busy," Sebastian says harshly.
"Sebastian."
Sebastian knows that he can't argue with that tone. He reluctantly gets up from his spot on the bed and opens the door.
His mother, five-foot-one with dark blonde hair, scrutinizes him with bright green eyes. "Are you okay?"
Sebastian knows that he can't exactly hide that he had been crying, so he just looks at the floor in an attempt to downplay the state of his face. "Yeah, I'm fine."
"You are not fine," his mother admonishes, and she grabs his chin and gently forces him to look at her. "Something's wrong, and you're going to tell me."
Sebastian sighs and looks away, refusing to answer.
"Is it a girl?"
The question startles him for a second, but he is able to keep himself from laughing. "Yeah, but I don't want to talk about it."
His mother seems to accept the answer and reaches up to kiss his forehead. "All right, honey, but know that you can come to me."
Sebastian fakes a smile as his mother walks out of the room. When she's finally gone, he lets out a breath that he didn't know that he was holding and shakes his head.
He knows that his parents mean well. They weren't around a lot, but they tried when it counted. They mean the best for Sebastian. But sometimes, Sebastian just can't talk to them, even at times when he's in a shitload of trouble.
Like now.
So no, Sebastian wouldn't tell his parents. He didn't need the added guilt.
