I'm conflicted lol.
On one hand I truly believe Blaine's remorseful...on the other hand his remorse and regret doesn't make the bruises go away.
I think though, its interesting that Kurt has anything to do with Blaine after this incident. Initially, I was all, that makes no sense at all because its like continuing to date a guy who smacks you around on the FIRST date, but then I remembered the time frame the prompt is set in and it was when Kurt was at rock bottom so (imo) his self esteem was already super low and his sense of self worth was already shot so it would be easier for him to excuse the inexcusable. Like, given when this would have taken place, I can totally see him at that point being so damaged that his thought process is all messed up and he rationalizes continuing contact by saying to himself "at least he apologized and he feels bad about it now" and that would be something he wasn't used to, remorse on the part of the someone who'd hurt him.
LOL sorry to get all thinky thoughts on you but this is a really good beginning and made me really think. This is such an awesome start! I can't wait to read more and see how things go from here!

That's exactly where I was heading with this--Kurt's feeling so rejected that any sign of somebody making a big gesture of apology like the flowers and note, along with Blaine's saying that he's gay by referencing being gay-bashed, would make further contact almost impossible to resist.
