a/n: I started late, but I'm going to see how far I can get before NaNoWriMo ends. Dub-con coming up next part.

Brittany insisted on drawing rainbows and unicorns on her homework assignments, until Mrs. Slater came over to give her a stern look.

"Brittany, we've talked about this."

"But I don't get it." She held out her paper to the teacher, who sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose.

"Why don't we start with getting your name on there first?"

"Okay. How do I spell that?"

Sue Sylvester chose that moment to stride into the room. "Becky. Brittany," she barked. "What are you two still doing in this cesspool of education when I specifically told you to be at the gym?"

"Sorry, Coach." Becky slid out of her seat and headed for the door as Brittany began to gather her things to follow her.

"Hold up." Mrs. Slater raised a hand to stop them. "Both of you sit down."

"Bite me, Mrs. Slater," Becky said.

"Sorry." Brittany smiled apologetically as she stood to leave.

Kurt latched onto her arm. "No."

Mrs. Slater hurried to his side. "Kurt, you're going to have to let go."

"That's okay," Brittany said. "He can come with me."

"No, he can't come with you, Brittany-"

Kurt took a deep breath, then let it out in a long scream.

"Aw, let the little moppet come," Coach Syvester interrupted. "I can use his impressive vocal strength to scare away the bugs and small rodents hiding under the bleachers."

Despite the teacher's sputtering protests Kurt left the room still latched onto Brittany's arm. Once in the gym, Sue pointed at a spot on the bleachers.

"Park your keester there, Ladyface, and don't even think about moving it, not even if the Pope himself tells you to. Got it?"

Kurt shrugged.

"Good." Sue nodded at him and turned back to her cheerleaders, who were all waiting for her a few feet down, huddled together in a group. "All right, my little ankle biters, here's the part where I tell you how much you suck."

With those encouraging words, they began to rehearse, refining and perfecting techniques Sue had thought up just for their upcoming competition. She'd wanted it to involve animals, as well, but the zoo wouldn't sell her any of the Bengal tigers it had just laying around gnawing on useless caretakers.

When she turned on the music, Kurt straightened up from his slouching posture and started to tap a foot along with the beat. Sue made note of his before putting him out of her mind. It took a lot to train hormonal teenagers to do her bidding. She couldn't waste her time with them thinking about someone who could do nothing to add to her overflowing trophy case.

She didn't notice Brittany disappear after practice had ended, as she had better things to do. Like berate her co-captains for their multiple failures today. Not that there were any. The routine had been flawless, but they didn't need to know that.
