Re: [FILL] Part 2 Re: RPF - Humiliated!Chris + Supportive/Shocked!Cast - Inspired by another prompt.aneleyeneefJune 20 2011, 22:29:07 UTC
Ok, I had a hard time writing this part, and I just want to say, in no way do I think that Chris was ever abused by his parents, or that this is an accurate portrayal of them at all. It's just fanfiction! :D --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 16 year old boy seemed to be alot younger - 9, perhaps. He was sitting on a bed in what was obviously his room, playing idly with action figures. Muffled yelling could be heard from outside the door, followed by the sound of breaking glass. The boy's head snapped up from his toys. He slid off his bed and approached his door. He opened the door slowly and crept into the living room.
A man was standing in the middle of the living room, surrounded by shards of broken glass, growling in anger, his face a furious red. A woman with red hair sat in an armchair in the corner of the room, looking weary and defeated.
''Fuck, Karyn! How the FUCK are we supposed to deal with this, huh? I can't fucking keep up with these bills, and those motherfuckers at that hospital don't even give a shit! They'd let Hannah die without a second of regret!'' the man roared.
''.....Dad?'' the boy whispered, looking up at the man unsurely.
''WHAT?!'' the man bellowed.
'I-I just wanted to know why there was y-yelling-''
The boy was cut off short as his father seized him by the arm and dragged him into the middle of the living room.
''You wanna know why I'm yelling, Christopher? Well I'll fucking tell you,'' the man snarled.
''D-Dad, you're hurting me-''
''I DON'T GIVE A SHIT! I HAVE A LOT OF SHIT TO DEAL WITH AND IT WOULD BE A LOT EASIER IF YOU WEREN'T FUCKING IN THE WAY ALL THE TIME!'' his father roared, before punching the boy in the face, causing him to fall backwards. The boy screamed, clutching his face. His father's eyes widened.
''Jesus Christ, what the....?'' Mark muttered, looking around the room at the others, who were all staring transfixed at the screen. His eyes landed on Chris, and he felt a flare of shame go through him as he realised that somehow, they were all watching Chris' most painful childhood memories.
''Oh shit, oh my god, Christopher I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, I swear, I was just so angry, a-and you were right there, I-I - fuck, I'm sorry, kid.'' the man rambled, reaching out to touch his son. The boy flinched away, before running to his mother, who picked him up and held him in her lap, rubbing his head and whispering softly to him. ''It's okay, baby, Daddy's just stressed, it won't happen again, will it?'' Karyn Colfer said, shooting a look at young-Chris' father.

A/N Ok, so I did something a little different in this part - I made the cast sort of interact with the memories, like they kind of felt the same thing Chris felt. It just kind of helped me get the flow of the story going again, because I had been stuck for a while with this story, so if the OP really dislikes it, I'll go back to the way I did it originally no problem :) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The scene of the boy being held by his mother abruptly ended, and the screen turned black. The sounds of birds chirping and faint footsteps could now be heard, and after a while, the black turned to a boy walking down a road of houses. He looked worse for wear - his T-shirt was a little torn and he was walking with a slight limp. He headed up the driveway of one of the houses, wrenching open the door, entering and slamming it shut again. He leaned against the door for a minute, his eyes closed, his breathing heavy.
His mother walked around the corner. She stood for a moment, watching him sadly, before walking over and placing a hand on his shoulder.
''Christopher,'' she began gently, but her son shrugged her hand off.
''I have homework,'' he mumbled, before racing up the stairs.
His mother sighed forlornly, before walking back towards the kitchen.
Upstairs, Chris was lying on his bed, staring at his ceiling. No tears came from his eyes. He didn't cry much anymore - he was used to the constant abuse. He couldn't find the strength to cry.
He lay there for a long time, staring at his ceiling, idly scratching his arm. His brow furrowed as he remembered the bullying he had gone through today. The hand scratching at his arm sped up a little, the skin turning gradually pink.
Somehow, the whole cast could feel distant touches of sadness and anger. They could almost recall feeling trapped and hopeless. Amber put her head in her hands, wincing at the intruding pangs of sorrow in her mind.
The Chris on the screen was scratching his arm even faster now. He wanted something, some sort of release, Kevin thought to himself. He didn't know why, but he understood what the younger Chris was feeling.
Young Chris bit his lip at the pain, but kept scratching. He wanted to scratch out all the pain - all the hurtful words, the rough shoves, the kicks, the punches. Maybe if he hurt himself enough, he would become numb. He couldn't stop now, anyway - he was too far along to pretend that he didn't need this. Or did he need it? He didn't know, all he knew was that he had to keep scratching.
Suddenly, he looked down at his arm to see scarlet blood dripping down his arm. He stared at his arm for a minute, hardly breathing, before jumping up and rushing to his desk, cradling his arm as he did so.
He snatched up a band-aid and sealed it over the wound his nails made.
He went about changing the blood-stained duvet cover, trying not to think about what he had just done.
The scene ended, just as abruptly as the last scene had, and the feelings of depression left the cast members as quickly as they had come, and the silence was deafening once more.
OP, would you mind if I attempted a second fill but instead of the cast watching stuff happen, Chris just finally breaks down and spits out things about his past?

-waves- Hi lovely author!
When you have a moment, would you mind commenting to me and letting me know what triggers will be in this fill? I am unsure if you will include ALL the prompter's suggestions in the fill, so I'd appreciate knowing what triggers to warn for, and what ones to warn for in terms of only in prompt/not in fill.

-waves back- Hello!
Yes, of course I will :) Yeah, I won't include all the suggestions, but these are the ones that will be in the fic as a whole:
-Chris' bullying. (Please make it more severe than what we see Kurt go through. Example, instead of locker shoves, they would grab Chris by the shirt, and slam him into the ground. And instead of slushies, they would spraypaint slurs on to Chris.)
- Chris getting nonconsensually gangbanged by a group of assholes. (Preferably only penetration with a broomstick, or the end of a hockey stick.)
-There was a point where Chris would get beaten by his parents because they were stressed with Hannah, bills, hospital visits, etc. (They didn't know how else to handle it, and Chris was kind of just there.)
-Him self harming. (Not necesarily cutting, but maybe scratching himself until he bleeds, burning, pulling his hair, etc.)
-Chris crying when he found out he got the role on Glee. (I mean crying so hard that it's causing him to hyperventilate.)
I'm unsure if I'm going to include this one:
-Chris freaking out silently in his trailer after reading the storyline in 'Never Been Kissed'.

''N-no, it won't, never, I'm sorry, kiddo.''
Chris just cried harder.

So, I think the triggers for this would be:
-Violence
-Bullying
-Homophobia
-Non-consensual
-Child abuse
-Self-harm
If I missed any out, please let me know! :)
