Happy Mother's Day to all of my friends!
I hope you are all enjoying this Mother's Day! Whether you are a Mother to children, animals, plants or Mother !^$*#%^@ 's , I hope you have a wonderful day!
Today I have had breakfast in bed, read my home made cards, been asked if I wanted a new Wii game (that the rest of the family has been coveting) for Mother's Day, and I was allowed to stay in bed reading until 12:30.
I am not a huge fan of marketing holidays. I however, will not pass up a chance to be fussed over and to be allowed to be the laziest person I know how to be.
I concider the birthdays of my children to be the anniversaries of Mother's day for me. I became a mother on Jan. 15, 1995. That was reaffirmed on June 17, 1998. Those were the days that they became part of the whole, less dream and a whole lot of reality. I feel very lucky.
Today we will take my M-I-L out for supper. Mom dislikes Mother's Day. I will still call her and wish her a Happy one though.
It's beautiful out! I wish it could have been as beautiful yesterday when I had actual outdoor activities lined up....but it is certainly beautiful. I will go take advantage of it soon.
