Well, I think I can safely say summer is over, as I can hear rain falling outside. But that's okay with me, because there is nothing worse than going to school when it is 30 degrees outside, knowing you are stuck inside and cannot go enjoy the beautiful weather. I am bumming around the house, doing some dishes and laundry, and then I am going to call my grandparents and go visit them. I need more tomatoes.
One more week and then I will be back in school. It will be good to be back, and really know the meaning of the words "broke ass". By the time I buy my books and bus passes (I buy a semester pass because it basically makes one of your months free) I will have no money. But I am very happy so it's worth it.
Next week I have a shift to be trained as a baker, which is super cool. I've always wanted to be a baker and now I will have more skills and be more indespensible to that job. Which means I have more weight to pull when I try and ask for a raise. And besides, baking is fun and I always get a kick when Natasha lets me glaze donuts and such. It will be fun.
What else is new? We bought a new BBQ on Sunday for $80. It's big and really nice-looking. Chris is pretty stoked about it, and so am I. We couldn't live without a BBQ and prior to the new one we'd been using a camping bbq, which was on its last legs. And I think we BBQ at least three times a week, so this is a good investment. It's simple, but since it's only the two of us we didn't need anything more.
Guess I should go do something with my day before work.
