Saint Louis Mardi Gras this weekend! All are welcome!
Mardi Gras Saint Louis starts today!!
It starts today!! The annual craziness known as Mardi Gras Saint Louis, one of the largest Mardi Gras’ in the US! http://www.mardigrasinc.com This year’s fun weekend is 2/24-2/26.
The weather looks great for the weekend with highs in the 40’s and lows in the 20’s and clear skies. I do have a couple updates though.
Dinner - We will meet up at 730pm at the First Wok Buffet for dinner!
Tonight for bowling, Fursuiting is still on but we will not have a changing area due to some remodeling being done at Sunset. There are always bathrooms or your vehicle though.
Also with watching the reports for this weekend, because we are going to be getting what sounds like a lot of those that would normally go to New Orleans, they have increased security quite a bit. So with this, fursuits would probably not be the best idea for the parade. Between police being skittery and also many more drunks and crowds in general it there is an issue with a Fursuiter we may not be able to get them out of the crowd quickly enough.
Brunch on Sunday will be at 11am at Chris’s

Friday 2/24 -
For those arriving earlier, we will hit First Wok Buffet for a quick dinner around 7pm.

Then Cosmic Bowling at Sunset Lanes 7777 Watson Rd. bowling starts at 930pm and goes till Midnight. Fursuits/Costumes are welcome! Cost is $10 per person.
Saturday 2/25 -
It’s an early day with heading down to the parade route at 8am to beat the crowds, find parking and get some breakfast at the Soulard Coffee Garden. Then we stake our claim on the parade route and see who catches the most beads!
Saturday afternoon is free for naps, shopping or whatever. Dinner is also on your own. There is a good pizza/sandwich place in the City Museum if you don’t want to eat before.
Saturday evening we head down to the City Museum http://www.citymuseum.org This isn’t your ordinary museum! Admission is $8 (plus $6 if you want to go into the Aquarium) We have gotten permission to fursuit at the CM once again and will have a bunch of beads to hand out to the kids there. (if anyone wants to contribute to the fund for buying beads, please let me know ASAP) It’s play till you drop with the Museum closing at 1am!
For those that don’t want to stay at the CM all evening, we will be heading out later in the evening for a fieldtrip to The Bad Dog Saloon http://www.baddogsaloonstl.com for a few drinks and some darts and pool.
Sunday 2/26 -
We are going to give everyone the chance to sleep in and have a bit of a lazy morning before heading off to brunch. After brunch everyone is free to hit the zoo, Cheap TRX or head on their way home!
I do need everyone planning on coming to please RSVP as soon as you can so we can make sure and have the proper numbers set for the reservations. Please RSVP to tygrcwby@hotmail.com I need to have a final count by 2/22!
