Canadian killer whales in American waters

It looks like they are here. Sidney Island on the right, San Juan Island on the left, Orca Island on the background:


Moving along south-west shore of Stuart Island:


It seems that the school of sockeye is heading to Canada and orcas follow it:



Sometime it’s easy to have a lunch in such positions:


Approaching Stuart Island turn point light, going to Boundary Pass between Stuart and Pender islands:


It looks like the school of sockeye is shocked well by this jump:


Time to digest what was swallowed moment ago:


We are in Canadian waters now, South Pender Island:


Orcas left us near this picturesque cliff and returned back to eat Canadian sockeye in American: waters
