(no subject)
Well, my father died just after midnight on Friday November 10, 2006. I guess veteran's day is fitting since the man spent most of his life working for the DoD. I really need some time to process this, no one this close to me has ever died before, and I'm just kind of numb about the whole thing. I guess I've been preparing for this for a while. In any event, I don't really want to talk about it.
I expect the wake will either be on Sunday or Monday, and he's to be buried in South Dakota with his parents. So, I'll probably be flying out there sometime midweek or this weekend. If its this weekend, I'll obviously have to miss Intercon. Depending on the timing I may come back down to DC for a day or two, just to handle work deadlines.
I guess I'll be giving some sort of speach at his funeral. I need to go think about it.
