I think we might be getting to a point where Elliot needs to see a doctor. A psychologist to be exact.
He's always been kind of spazzy, even in utero. He tried to kick his way out of my belly button and very nearly had his way. He has what I can only describe as fits of jumping up and down and every which way and squealing and screaming. This lasts anywhere from a few seconds to on and off all day.
At school we have to wait with him until the bell rings. He hates playing before school now. He hides behind us and no one is allowed to talk. He occasionally buries his face in Tanguy's butt even after being asked to stop, being himself moved or Tanguy moved.
He often refuses to listen but only at home. He'll ignore us or give us ultimatums as to when he's going to do what he's told. The other night he got out of bed demanding we fix a toy in a manner we had been telling him all day was impossible. After sending him back three times in a snit he finally came in telling us he wasn't going to bed until he got this toy fixed the way he wanted. I ended up having to take it away from him and he scream/cried himself to sleep.
He evidently does not behave this way at school but will pull his bullshit on my dad who won't tolerate it (not that we tolerate it). We do everything in our power to make sure he isn't bored. We send him in time outs, take away privileges, everything short of spanking him (disciplines not keeping him occupied. *head desk*). There are times I have to put myself in time out so I don't beat the living shit out of him.
Wyatt doesn't act this way. He does have communication problems because he can't say guttural sounds (c, g, k etc) yet so he grunts and demands wordlessly sometimes. Because of this he gets frustrated and hits but only me and never at school. He is a very pleasant kid.
