So we finally got our date night in...
Stuff comes up at bad times and L and I kept putting it off but we finally got to go on our date night.
Since I was craving hamburgers and fries and L wanted to go someplace new we decided to go to Red Robin. Its been there for awhile now and its like we haven't tried that yet. So we get there and its like ass cold. Enough so that the people around us still had their jackets on. Not a good sign. As we are looking over the menu the waitress comes over and she's doing her thing and trying to sell us on these stacked onion rings (13 of them) as one of their things they do (for $8.99!) and telling us that they have bottomless steak fries. We both order water and continue looking over the menu. Evetually we settle on the same type of burger (the whiskey one, if you are familiar with their menu) L likes hers raw and I like mine med rare but the woman says we only do pink or no pink here for our burgers (I get the whole we are special thing, but did we not learn anything from when Starbucks was pulling this same stuff?). Order the food,drinks, coffee for L, a dos equis for me. The food isn't anything special or rather remarkable, the burger is good just not all that. I see why they say they have bottomless fries as they only give you like 8 fries. We finish, get the bill and they do the whole - we are going to charge you double the price cause you had an imported beer which is sooo 20 years ago. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. I highly doubt we will go again, cause I know I could do alot better for ALOT cheaper.
So overall the food was meh. The company was nice :)
Then we head to the movies to watch the watchmen. We are watching the previews and its nice to see previews for movies that I actually want to see for a change(in this case Public Enemies and Terminator Salvation). And I am going to say (since I will avoid spoilers) that its a great movie.
All in all it was nice to go out again.
