- I've found the past one or two weeks i've eaten really badly. like gross food all day long. but my latest discovery is that wheaties are delicious and they fill you up and will make me a famous athelete. so i've been snacking on them a lot. plus they're very good with chocolate chips. i highly recommend.
- we played twister last night. good times and good memories.
- ultimate was freezing today. truely. freezing. layout practice was fun tho. and very wet. and i pretty much destroyed the shower. there was a layer of mud in it when i was done.
- We went to chinese food tonight and i got chicken stir-fry noodles to change it up a little. it was exactly like those delicious fair noodles. Sitting in the shade in the grass with a paper plate full of greasy, yummy noodles....pretty much wonderful.
- this next week i have nothing exciting going on. oh boy. i love weeks like this.
- I was doing hw and my train of thought got drastically derailed and i began to think about walking up beyond the gate on skillings and how green it would be right now. there would be woods on the right side and lots of blackberrys with huge dark green leaves. on the left there would be the stream jogging in and out of sight and the flat patty leading over to it. up on the other side of the valley there is a huge fallen tree that is half decomposed into the ground and huge ferns growing up all over the place. the stream would be rushing with all the extra water. hm. ferns.
- I hear of people all around me going on adventures and doing crazy things and it makes me think. At times i find myself so immersed in what i'm doing i don't even want to think about adventures, but when i do have time, i don't want adventures, i want to just relax in the comfort of the familiar and normal. should i be going out and making memories? doing things? having adventures? did i get old before i actually had fun? you only live once, but if i'm happy with how i live why should i disrupt it with exess? i just dunno.
- taking off from that, it was recently reaffirmed for me that change, specifically loss, is something i will probably never gracefully deal with. ever. it pretty much rips out my gut and sticks it in the blender. and makes it hard to breath.
When I was young my mamma told me
She said child take your time
Don't fall in love too quickly
Before you know the one
She held me round the shoulders
In a voice so soft and kind
She said love can make you happy
And love can rob you blind
Here in California fruit hangs heavy on the vines
There's no gold I thought I'd warn you
And the hills turn brown in the summertime
