So, i'm back in the country... Have been for a while though. My trip kicked so much arse and i can't wait to do it again. The only downside was the fact that it felt like i was cruising the Wog ship and with sea sickness kicking my arse, them saying fully sick 20 million fucking times a day was not too far from the truth. I picked up a lovely little addiction to sea sickness tablets.. i ended up taking over 20 of the bastards but they made me feel so pretty. When the ship docked in Noumea (the capital of New Caledonia) everything was fine. Did a bit of market shopping completely forgetting i was in another country, just speaking to them in english wondering why they were looking at me so funny. I was the Pinacle of everyones jokes during the week because i was so dopey but i was cool with that. Then the next day we cruised to the Isle of Pines which was the most beautiful place on earth. I snorkelled for almost 4 hours, saw pretty much the whole cast from finding nemo, and made best friends with a rainbow fish who spent half the time swimming up my boardies. I LOVE snorkelling and the fish over there just swim with you and around you and its just amazing. Anway after finally dragging myself out of the water i was sitting on the beach and the next thing i know i'm being ambushed by these little island children who went crazy over my hair... so i had all these little hands pulling and proding me, then they flogged my coke. Bastards. :P The next day we were at the divine islands, didn't really compare to the isle of pines but was still very nice. then we got back on the ship and made way for australia.
We met the most awesome people on the ship, this guy jag was my fav. Total character. But we were seated with these older ladies at our dining table and they were just amazing. So much fun. They bought us champagne at dinner and when we said we weren't drinking they would spike our drinks, truely sharing their wisdom and role model qualities. They were just great people. unfortunately one of the ladies Sue found out her brother died while she was on the ship so we sent flowers to her room for her and we made her smile for a bit which was awesome to see. We met a few other really awesome people and just had a great time.
After i got back i needed a change. I decided the dreads had to go. The water on the island just ravaged them and reversed all the good work i had done on them and it was just a loss cause. So for 7 days i cut and brushed and then 2 plastic bags full of hair later they were gone. It's so incredibly weird. i had them on and off for 2 years and its just funny having hair back. But it had to be done. :( So its shoulder length black hair for now instead of dreads to my lower back. i'm slowly getting used to it. I don't know about my mates though but we'll get through this! :P
I'm going away again soon for my birthday, going to fraser island to get mighty pissed for 6 days. YAY
Nothing much else has gone on... went out saturday night saw the aims and the ems... always good to see you two lovely ladies.. and all the other lovely ladies...
