In case anybody ever wants to write about a heist...

Things I just learned from Mythbusters:

-you cannot fool a thermal scanner with a wet suit or heat-containing suit of any kind, because it starts absorbing your heat. It is also not advisable to cover yourself with mud and try to fool the sensor. It doesn't work if the room is room temperature and you go commando.
HOWEVER: if you stick a thick enough plate of glass over the sensor, it'll block the infrared and the sensor will be fooled

-you can fool an ultrasonic motion sensor simply by carrying a bedsheet over yourself

-If you try to break into a safe with the glass relocking door, 1) it's no good using a thermal torch to break in the top, because you fry to booty inside and it takes too long, and 2) once you have filled it with water and set off explosives inside, you will blow the door of its hinges and blow the safe backwards, but you will also shatter the booty and make a hell of a mess (and might get killed with shrapnel or something)

-latex prints WORK, yo! But you have to lick them

So now I kind of want to write about a heist, since I now have a better understanding of the whole shebang. That or pull off a heist XD
