Just what the title says. Here are a couple of WIPs that I've been keeping track of for the last few months, plus a few completed stories that I can't get enough of and felt like I should share. Enjoy:
The "Drive" verse by
Roque ClasiqueThis is a gen AU of season one. It begins with
I'd Drive All Night Just to get Back Home in which John abandons Dean after an accident leaves Dean disabled. After John's disappearance, Dean contacts Bobby, who takes him in. Sam eventually tracks Dean down and takes him back to Stanford. The series continues with
Structurally Unsound, in which Sam and Dean investigate a series of deaths in an artist colony, followed by
The Sum of It's Parts, which is a retelling of the events in the episode "Home", and the most recent volume
Riding Shotgun in the Sky (seven parts so far) wherein the boys stumble across a case while trying to catch some downtime. There are also several one-shots in this verse.
This is a great 'verse is you're a fan of the hurt/comfort genre because it really delivers, every single time. Roque Clasique is a modern master. It features cane!Dean and alcoholic!Sam as well as some very well-written cases. Just a great all-around story in my humble opinion.
The Lee by
Pdragon76 Gen. Dean suffers an injury very similar to the one he suffered in the "Drive" verse (above). It is three parts so far, set just after "What is and What Should Never Be". All of Pdragon's stories are worth checking out. Go. Read.
Rumspringa by
JulyThis is a completed fic. Short, sweet and preseries. Gen. You can get through it in about ten minutes, and if it doesn't make your heart ache at least a little, then my friend, you don't have one. Again, all her fics are worth checking out.
Please Exit Hell Quietly Through the Rear Doors by
Innocent CulpritIf you have a craving for PTSD Dean, you should go here and read this. Just hits the spot. Plus there's Bobby.
