well..we're at it again. here comes jeanne...

amanda and i were up until 4 AM talking and then had to get up at 7:30 to go grocery shopping. we already went a few days ago but more people are coming so we needed more food, so of course we were appointed to the shopping - not before putting up shutters at 8am. oh well..nothing you can do about mother nature.

it's funny because this is all so routine to me now. it's like i don't even think twice about putting up shutters or filling up gallon jugs.

the town is boarded up, but stuff is still open. it was fun going to dinner and other places last night with all the buildings boarded up. its not even a surprise anymore to see plywood all over the place. the familiarity of this is so wierd.

grocery shopping for a hurricane is so interesting because everyone has the same look in their eye, and its funny when people are coming up to you asking you where you found water and bread. it's also amazing the things you can find at the check out aisles, you know all the stuff that people decide to put back. you can find good stuff there during a hurricane, haha. their is such a bond between people because we are all in the same boat.

please be in prayer for this town, so many people are already without rooves and have very little protecting their homes. people are working so hard and we're all tired. and also be in prayer for florida's industries. our citrus farmers and agriculture industry is taking a huge blow, and as little as we think about it, they are the heartbeat of our state. send your prayers this way. everyone be safe.

we're getting pretty good at this hurricane stuff - bring it on jeanne :)
