Macrooooon.
21 days- i think this has got to the longest i've ever got by without doing an update. i must quit slacking on these things but these days've been pretty whirlwindish.

the one with the weird filling is my favorite- salted caramel. and then there is chocolate ganache, raspberry chocolate and rose.
eh no easy feat making them stand! oh, the one on top is french earl grey made with TWG tea leaves, this is one of my favorites too!
heh, cute? she did heart shaped ones for the Vday special! it's a nice framing, but i think there's not enough focus, and overall not a very good shot. i had to up the exposure when i was editing this.
i asked for a more physically appealing batch to take and they refused to stand! it was hard work cos the macarons started to sweat and butter cream becoming all soft, so they started to slide and do naughty things. as you can see the salted caramel has kapooted
the packaging for Vday! anyway thanks to Fiona Poh from Super Desserts Market that i got to fool around with pretty macarons for my first food photography project and (finally) use my f1.8 lens (which has been rotting in my camera bag since August). i had no light to work with though so the pictures were pretty dismal. but still it was fun! anyways, i wanted to introduce her business a little just because her macarons are awesome. Fiona and her good friend Joanna's been doing this for some time since finishing off with school in december and they have bake orders for holidays like Christmas, Chinese New Year and more recently, Valentines' Day. she does special flavors on these occasions, like they had BAKKWA flavor for CNY and flavors like rose and vanilla bean for Vday. oh and the macarons are definitely good, because she uses really good ingredients like Valrhona chocolate and TWG tea leaves, no substitutes here! and i've tried them and attest to them of course. do contact her at superdessertsmarket@gmail.com and check the website for updates during the holiday season, her macarons do sell fast.
