Well, that had gone... less than as planned.
It had started in the middle of the night. Starscream had been recovering well, and he'd been keeping up with posts on the network, when...
Well.
There'd been a few pests. In the clinic. And then a few more. And then he and Megatron decided that this was really not the place to be, and Starscream grabbed a large crutch and hobbled out of the door after his commander, insisting that he could walk fine, and, indeed, managing to knock off the head of one zombie on the way out using said crutch.
Things were... chaotic, to say the least.
A few cycles later, they'd barged into a school, which at that time of night was empty save for the live-in students, commandeered the PA system, and informed everyone that well, ah, see, there was a zombie outbreak, and they were two qualified commanders - no, best not to ask who, just please trust them - and that they were going to barricade the place.
There was some resistance at first, but when the first shambling hordes came up against the doors of the building, the staff quickly acquiesced to the requests of the two strange Decepticons and enacted emergency security measures.
So it was that Starscream found himself up on the roof with a gaggle of young Cybertronians still a little bleary from coming out of recharge, a few humans in pajamas, and a couple of other species of various shapes and sizes.
He aimed his particle beam canon at one zombie in a small cluster, then fired a continuous beam. The thing glowed red hot before flying apart, taking out a group of the things.
There was scattered applause.
He hailed Megatron.
"Master Megatron; on the roof with some students rescued from adjoining dormitories; have neutralized an advancing group. Status?"
He paused.
"Also, a recommendation - get the word out to some of the others..."
