Maybe not, because you understand that...non-Oscar acting (*cough* Anakin *cough*) is not the end all and be all of a show or its mythos (I didn't see any Emmy's coming SG:SGA's way either).

Sometimes characters are written as archtypes and don't get a lot to do outside that role.

It is also entirely possible The Husband was trying to provoke me, in which I must be crafty when paying him back...
