Well that was a complete and utter bore. There's nothing so annoying as seeing other rich people's houses that have now been made into Museums. It's not like we can buy any of their stuff because they are "preserving it" or whatever. And the US Aristocracy is so full of crap anyway. *eyeroll* They weren't -kings- or anything and yet they ( Read more... )

So that's where you went.

Aren't you supposed to tell people before you leave, loser?

Sorry, couldn't quite help it =/. I got kind of dragged off by my mother. She appeared at my dorm door after signing me out and everything.

And you would be one to complain about going on an expensive trip.

It was -not- expensive. We stayed with family friends who actually still own their house - they bought up the Edith Wharton one. That was actually the only interesting one to see if you ask me - seeing as how I want to be an author and all.

You're welcome to go in my place next time I get dragged to Newport.

[[ooc: if only -that- were true. Stupid owners of the Edith Wharton one still have it private so we couldn't see in it T__T. I wants to though T__T.]]

I'm sure your range of 'not expensive' is somewhere in my range of 'totally out of the question, unless I want to sell my first born child'. Jerk. ♥

Nfu~ I'll consider it. I may not be as rich as you, but I can assure you I'm just as picky.

No, no, this -would- be fairly expensive, but as I said, we were staying with friends.

Ahahaha. I'd be amazed if you found their art as tacky as I did. Truly.

[Private]

I could make it cheap, if you sold yourself to me <3.

Nfufufufu~

Really? And how much exactly do you think I'm worth, hm?

Hmm. Someone of your social status would think a thousand dollars is a lot...but I'd be happy to spend more <3.

Only a thousand?

You'd be lucky if I'd even hold your hand for that little.

Jeez, how much do you want?

Do you really think you can buy me?

Re: Private glassesgenius August 29 2008, 22:30:26 UTC
Everyone can be bought. It's a matter of how much money - that's the way this world works.

I'm uninterested in buying you - I have yet to buy anyone...I think it's low, but I was curious to know what your "limit" was.

Nfu~ Clearly you've never met a stubborn person.

Or anyone with much pride, actually.

My limit? Never in your life would you obtain enough money to 'buy' me.

Or I've seen how far people will go to get what they want.

If I -wanted- to, I could get your Father and Mother fired from their jobs for any reason I desired to have put down. I could have them blacklisted. I could have all your money taken out of any funds and make any stocks that you're involved in plummet. I could make it so that no one would loan you money, suddenly your house value would drop. No one would give you a mortgage. Every credit card in your family would be maxed out. Tell me, where else would you run? To someone with money of course.

As I said, it's only a matter of how much money it takes.

I have more than enough to buy you. I just don't work that way.

..........................................................................

Hey.

Why don't you try to consider some people's lives before you make such insulting remarks?

My family has made it fine without much money before, I highly doubt they would ever come to you of all people for help.

Oshitari-kun, you're so misguided. It's almost sad that you're this wrong.

You asked me what made me so sure. If you don't know how to deal with the answer then don't ask for it.

I'm not -like- people who do things like that. Can't you see that? I don't use money or power in such a vile way.

Augh. Curse my honest mouth.

Look. I like you a lot - so I _RESPECT_ you enough to treat you with such respect even though you don't give a damn about me back. I don't view you like most people from my 'world' would view a plebeian. I don't see you as merely a 'toy' who doesn't matter. I don't see you as something I can fuck with and then throw away when I get bored.
