Larry is fixing the missing floorboard in the house and making a lot of noise

I had a wonderful weekend.  Steve came to pick me up on Friday, and even though he headed out late to come get me, it ended up being a good thing because we both had work to get done, and finishing that work allowed us to enjoy the weekend more.

His show on Saturday night was a great success.  He had made all the videos for the group, and all of them were great.  He did two Flash animations of a Strongbad character named StrongJam that were hilarious, and a parody of the “Welcome to Aggieland” video which is so cheesy that even Aggies are embarrassed of it.  Steve’s parody played off of the cheesiness to great effect.

After the show I got to meet more of his Percussion Studio group mates, who are some of the nicest people you could hope to meet.  Also, I was really happy to see that everyone was high-fiving and congratulating Steve on his videos.  He put his all into those videos, and I was glad to see him get recognition for all of those sleepless nights.

Also, he bought me flowers.  Huge, beautiful sunflowers.  I love him so much.

Sort of a side note:  Steve’s parents and I are getting along better than ever before.  This is very relieving for me to say, because for some reason the parental relations have always been rather awkward.  However, on Saturday night both of his parents greeted me with a big hug and talked to me during the show a lot.  Sunday morning the four of us went to breakfast and all had a really great time.  When Steve and I finally left to come back to Austin, I felt really good inside because of this new development.

The polo team dinner Sunday night was a lot of fun.  We went to Olive Garden and I ate a whole bunch of my plate, yet still have enough left-overs for about two nights.  That place is crazy.  We had a white elephant gift exchange and I ended up with a “Mr. Grow-a-head” or something like that.  It’s like a mini-chia pet.  I have never had one of these before, and have always kinda subconsciously wanted one without realizing it.  I expect to have a lot of fun growing this guy and styling his grass-hair.

Sarah and I then went to the House of Guys to see Ian, and had a good time as well.  Ian seems to be doing well, but honestly we didn’t get to hang out with him quite as much as we wanted to, so hopefully we can hang out with him sometime this week.

I should probably try to have some sort of productivity today, so now I will work on one of my many projects/papers due over the next week.
