Ragnar: Ah, back to the surface at last... Even in this sinister place, the light of the sun still soothes one's weary soul...
Labyrinthia: The temple district was supposed to have been just ahead. I suspect that's where Charlton and the others have set up shop--
Alexia: ...! Is that...Katrina?!
Clarissa: --?!
[Indeed, Katrina is there a short distance away.]
Katrina: It's nice to see you again, Alexia.
Alexia: Katrina...? Katrina, is that really you?
Katrina: Of course it is. Who else would I be?
Clarissa: ...
[Levin, oblivious to the atmosphere, grins.]
Levin: Sorry it took so long, Your Highness. We've come to rescue you--
Felius: Levin, wait! Something isn't right...
Levin: Huh?
[Katrina clasps her hands together, grin widening as she giggles.]
Katrina: Tee hee hee hee hee.
[A dark red energy emanates from her, and suddenly, two monsters just like the ones from the Rite appear behind her.]
Katrina: This city is quite boring, let me tell you. It makes you really want to get out and spread your wings.
Labyrinthia: What...what's going on?!
Alexia: Katrina?!
Katrina: I want to know your fear, Alexia. Won't you please show it to me?
Katrina: Tell me, Alexia... What color is it? What does it taste like?
Levin: Could she be under someone else's control, just like my father was...?
Ragnar: No--she's clearly got her wits about her. I can feel the waves of malice coming from her...
Labyrinthia: Your Highness... We'll incapacitate Princess Katrina. We'll do our best not to injure her, but...
[Alexia hangs her head.]
Alexia: How...how could this have happened...
[Clarissa stands next to her.]
Clarissa: Let's save her, Alexia. Don't worry--I'm right by your side...
Alexia: Yes... Thank you...

Labyrinthia: Let's take a look at the Tactical Map we'll be fighting on.
Labyrinthia: We'll be starting here...
Labyrinthia: And...this is the force Princess Katrina has deployed to block our way once more.
Labyrinthia: Try your best to contain Princess Katrina's fury. We'll need to drain her MP to zero as fast as we can. We've got to save her for good this time!
Labyrinthia: Also...as before, take care not to hurt Her Highness in any way!
Labyrinthia: Don't worry about the other obstacles in the way. Just get to Princess Katrina and save her from this chaos.
Katrina: Hmmm. Is this...more than simple fear at work here? Are you...afraid of hurting me...?
I wonder how that will feel when combined with your own fear of pain... Oh, I can hardly wait to find out! Hee hee hee!
[The battle ends when Katrina's MP is depleted. The screen shakes and Katrina clutches her head.]
Katrina: Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!
[Massive, dark energy comes out of her and she collapses onto the ground.]
Alexia: Katrina!
[Alexia runs up to her and kneels, holding her up. Clarissa follows, kneeling behind Alexia with a worried look.]
Alexia: Katrina? Katrina!!
Clarissa: Princess Katrina!
Katrina: A...Alexia...?
Alexia: Katrina, it's really you?
Alexia: Oh, thank heavens!
[They help her up... but when everything seems to be alright, Katrina clutches her head again as more darkness comes out of her, plunging the screen into darkness.]
Katrina: Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!
Clarissa: What's happening?!
[A 'fwoosh' is heard and Katrina collapses again... as a giant black bird soars above the party. Tactical Map style, the giant crow flaps its wings menacingly.]
Labyrinthia: Black...wings...
Alexia: Get...get away from my sister!!

Labyrinthia: Let's take a look at the Tactical Map we'll be fighting on.
Labyrinthia: We'll be starting here...
Labyrinthia: And... what in the world is this...?
Labyrinthia: Those jet-black wings, created from the miasma that's sprouted forth... THis might be the cause of Princess Katrina's uncontrollable rage.
Labyrinthia: If that's the case, we can likely expect the same sort of magic attacks as those the princess used against us.
Labyrinthia: Creatures who rely on attack magic for offense almost always have low resistance to physical attacks--weapon strikes, in other words.
Labyrinthia: It'd be a surprisingly routine strategy for this battle, but I think it's worth a try.
The old and familiar is often your best tactic against a foe of unknown strength. Use your most reliable units and skills for this one.
[The battle ends when the Fear Guardian? is defeated.]
Alexia: Katrina!!
[Katrina's body is envelopped with dark miasma and the energy bursts. Katrina stands, grinning madly.]
Clarissa: Pincess Katrina...
Katrina: Hee hee hee. What's wrong, Alexia? You don't look happy.
Alexia: ...
[Katrina lets her hands drop to her hands as she scowls.]
Katrina: This town is a terrible place, isn't it? The only people here are dead. The town is full of them... It's no fun at all.
Katrina: After all, the dead don't know fear.
Katrina: And then there's you...
Katrina: Instead of being afraid, you're all so full of spirit and determination. It bores me.
Katrina: I need you to be terrified. I need you to tremble for me.
Clarissa: What in blazes happened to you?!
Katrina: When you came to the capital, the streets were drenched with fear. It was wonderful.
[She smirks and closes her eyes.]
Katrina: But it wasn't enough...
Katrina: What if it wasn't just one town? What if it was a whole country? Or the whole world that was trembling in fear?
Wouldn't that be so much more magnificent?
Alexia: Stop it! Don't say those things! Not in Katrina's body!
[Katrina's face clears up and she blinks at her sister.]
Katrina: What's wrong, Alexia? I'm right here...what's the matter?
[Alexia pales.]
Clarissa: ...
Katrina: Hee hee hee...
Katrina: Indeed, if I want that much fear, I can't stay trapped in here...
Katrina: I must burst forth into the world! I have to fill all of Filgaia with fear!
Katrina: If I could do that, maybe I'd finally learn to understand fear myself...
Katrina: I have to go find it... I have to find the source of terror!
[Her grin widens madly as she lets out a deranged laugh.]
Katrina: Hee hee hee... Hah hah hah... Ah hah hah hah hah hah!
[She warps away, laughing.]
Alexia: Katrina!
[The screen fades to black and the player is prompted to save.]
