< Act 3-7 >

Levin: I've read stories about stuff like this, but if this really is Elesius's past...
Levin: Doesn't that mean that if we mess with history, we could screw up the future?
Ragnar: In other words, actions we take here might have consequences that reach all the way to our time, completely changing the present...
Levin: Yeah, it's called a "time parakeet".
Labyrinthia: I believe the term is "time paradox", Levin.

[Levin blushes in embarrassment.]

Levin: Oh, yeah. Sorry, teach...
Alexia: Whatever it's called... Haven't we already done several things that could have significant consequences?
Felius: As long as we're present in this timeline, there's no way we can avoid changing things. Every breath we take affects this world.
Felius: Even if we were so determined to preserve the future that we ended our own lives, our corpses would remain, altering history nonetheless.
Clarissa: Well... If it's a no-win situation, shouldn't we just carry on the way we were before?
Clarissa: Let's go look for something productive to do!
Levin: Will we ever be able to return to our own time...?
Levin: (...)
Levin: (...)
Levin: (...I wonder...)
Levin: (...Maybe if we return to the present, I'll have already made a choice about which one I like best...?)

[Ragnar smirks and folds his arms, winking.]

Ragnar: Hear that, Levin? Just standing around won't get us anywhere!
So, Clarissa, why don't we go visit your mother in the town where she's staying?
Clarissa: ...Yeah...

[On the world map, Hanigar is marked with a yellow !.]

(Shop)
Shopkeeper Brown: Good afternoon!
Shopkeeper Brown (Talk): I never noticed your eyes before, ma'am. They're such a dark green, almost like jade. They look a lot like King Hrathnir's, actually.
---
Bounty Hunter: The king of this country has a flair for the drastic, doesn't he?
I'm sure invasion is never far from the minds of Elesius's neighboring states, and yet here they are cutting down the ranks of the Royal Knights.
Not that it concerns a visitor like me, but won't that lead to a lot of disgruntled knights roaming around?
I bet this cutback had a lot to do with how dangerous criminals like the Tormenta Triad manage to get into this country, too.

(Synth. Shop)
Damphousse the Forger (Talk): Slow and steady is the name of the synthesis game.
If you try to build something too high-rank too soon, you'll be stuck trying to find mounds of ingredients...
---
Phillip: Tranquil days are ours with King Hrathnir on the throne. He rules with a wise, gentle hand.
Hard to believe he's the same person as the infamous general feared as "Ironsword Hrathnir" by his enemies during the war...
Of course, I suppose it was his valor in battle that won him the right to take Lady Adelia's hand in marriage in the first place.

(Inn)
Innkeeper Donovan (Talk): My wife's home cooking is the pride and joy of this inn.
And well, living here with my wife is kind of my own pride and joy, too.
She's a little brash sometimes, but she's still my favorite...and so beautiful, too!
---
Ellen: We may not have much here, but the fish we catch can't be beat. We have the Ocean Guardian to thank for that.

(Plaza)
McCullum: They say that the power of the Guardians that protect Filgaia ebbs and flows based on the energy of Filgaia's creatures...and the planet itself.
But with all the wars and everything, Filgaia's people, and its environment, are taking a battering...and the Guardians' power is plummeting.
It's a pity that other nations can't follow Elesius's example and put down their swords for a chance.
What's worse, the more power the Guardians lose, the more of it goes over to their polar opposites, the Clysmians.
Oh, do you know about the Clysmians?
They're a form of sentient power like the Guardians, but they're the exact opposite of them. Just like their name, they bring cataclysm and chaos to Filgaia.
It's not quite correct to say this, but you could call them the "Guardians of evil".
When the Clysmians of fire, earth, or water unleash their fury, it leads to natural disasters like earthquakes, storms, and forest fires.
And the scariest part? Unlike the Guardians, the Clysmians don't care one bit about the fate of life on Filgaia.

(Shop)
Shopkeeper Belsow's Wife: We had someone from the Royal Knights come in and take away the store's Access Point. King Hrathnir's orders, apparently.

(Synth. Shop)
Mixing Girl: You know what? Someday I'm gonna marry someone who's really good at mixing stuff!
I'm happy enough having Dad here, but he said he couldn't bear the thought of having to deal with me forever. Talk about harsh!

(Outskirts)
Kind Lady: Apparently, some people dissatisfied with the royal reforms have teamed up with soldiers who were relieved of their duties and formed a cabal to stir up trouble around the country.
Things are just about back to normal here, but if I were you, I'd try to stay away from dark, unpopulated areas, you know?

-Richala Rose-

(Synth. Shop)
Martilo II: Synthesis, tea or me, sir? Synthesis, tea or me? Ooooooh, you little scamp!
Martilo II (Talk): There's a monster inside of me, too...
---
Martilo III: ...
Granddad, don't you think it's about time you called it a career?

(Bar)
Innkeeper Matilda: Oh, a customer! Just one moment! I'll get some tea out for you!
Innkeeper Matilda (Talk): Ever since the kingdom stopped waging war, I've been getting in all kinds of customers from across the ocean.
It makes things a lot more fun around here, I'll say that.
---
Foreign Agent: How will the kingdom change now that it's abandoned war?
The entire region is watching its next move very, very closely.
---
Traveling Scholar Alan: Do you know the Legacy Ruins, the ancient remains that "don't exist" on Filgaia?
Yes...an undiscovered ruin that exists only in name, usually dismissed as a flight of fancy or some kind of occult obsession by the general public.
Well, I have discovered a handwritten document that discusses the Legacy Ruins.
Amazingly enough, the term doesn't refer to any individual place or building...
...I'm sure you'd like to hear more, but that's all I can reveal for now.
I've hit a rut in my deciphering of the document. If we run into each other again, I hope I'll have more to tell you about.

-Hanigar-

(Synth. Shop)
Foreman Phil (Talk): In the six years since King Hrathnir was crowned, Elesius has made great steps forward. It's plainly become a nicer place to live, I think.
---
Workman: If these reforms keep getting pushed along...well, it makes me worry that they're going to ban all weapons manufacture in the end.
I don't want all the skills that've been passed down to me to just lie there unused. That would be devastating.

(Bar)
Innkeeper Langley (Talk): Our special for today is the "Omelette au Regne".
What makes it "kingdom-style"? Don't ask me! With a name like that, even a plain ol' omelet sounds pretty fancy, doesn't it?
---
Ore Miner: ARMs are all over the place, and now the king's restricting them... He's throwing out the baby with the bathwater on this one.
I doubt they'd manage to clamp down on the ARMs that foreign Drifters bring in, though...
---
Kalan the Drifter: Well, huh... I guess the Access Point was left there as they were surveying a new tunnel in the iron mines.
The tunnel might have monsters in it, after all. They'd be a lot easier to deal with if you had an ARM on your side.
But now you can't even use ARMs without the kingdom's permission, can you?
Banning something like that, that's like taking away a child's favorite toy. They're gonna face a lot of resistance, don't you think?

(The Elder's)
Jeune the Elder: King Hrathnir does have a tendency to hurry along his reforms a tad, I'll admit.
That makes some people happy, but it's a fact that it also antagonizes a decent-sized chunk of the populace.
I do worry that these people will grow so distrustful of their ruler that they'll try and take matters into their own hands.
---
Housekeeper: King Hrathnir took schools that were previously only available to the nobility and opened them up to the entire kingdom.
Some of the nobles are fighting it tooth and nail, but I think it's a wonderful thing, commoner and noble children studying side by side.

(Shop)
Shopkeeper Hooper: Welcome.
They say that ARM sales and trade will be banned by royal decree... I heard about some kind of defense spending cuts, but this is pretty ridiculous.
Shopkeeper Hooper (Talk): I hear that the Royal Knights will be taking over the ARM Access Points...and they'll be restricting general use.
But how's that going to do us any good? It's a dumb law, plain and simple...
---
Neatnik: King Hrathnir has really pushed his defense cuts over the past few years.
Restructuring of the Royal Knights, pay cuts for the officer nobility...and now, strict regulations on ARM and weapons trade, I hear.
I don't think streamlining things is necessarily a bad thing, but are we really safe taking it this far...?
---
Melissa (yellow !): Ah, you kept your promise! Here's your reward. Hope it comes in handy...

-Obtained Meteoric IronX5!-

[Clarissa and Felius meet Melissa outside.]

Clarissa: So, you said that you were investigating ruins here?
Clarissa: Is there some sort of interesting research you're working on?
Melissa: At the moment, I'm pursuing something called the Yggdrasil System. I'm hoping I'll find it here.
Clarissa: The Yggdrasil System...?
Melissa: Yep--the Yggdrasil System.
Clarissa: ...
Melissa: Sounds like the name of some old ruin or something, doesn't it? But it turns out, that's not it at all.
Melissa: I'm still not quite sure exactly what it is, but I've come to suspect it's one of a number of lost technologies from an ancient civilization.
Melissa: There are some records that point to a special site called the Legacy Ruins, which is supposed to hold all those technologies, but...
Clarissa: ...

[Melissa rubs the back of her head, grinning sheepishly.]

Melissa: Ah, sorry. You're probably bored out of your mind, huh? I do tend to get carried away when I talk about my research...

[Clarissa smiles a little.]

Clarissa: No, not at all. I'm actually quite interested in this sort of thing. Would...would you mind continuing?
Melissa: Really? Well, sure...
Melissa: ...

[We see an illustration of ruins, the same from before.]

Melissa: All number of lost technologies are supposed to be sealed away in the Legacy Ruins... But there's a problem with that.
Melissa: See, I've searched high and low across Filgaia, but there just aren't any ruins, or buildings of any sort, that fit the description.
Melissa: Yet these Legacy Ruins pop up throughout old records and oral accounts...
Melissa: And every now and then someone manages to excavate remnants of one of the technologies that are supposed to be housed in the Legacy Ruins.
Clarissa: Relics of an ancient civilization, excavated from ruins that don't seem to exist...
Melissa: In the last decade or two, there've been a lot of discoveries happening here, in Elesius.
Melissa: So I figured that if I came here, I'd be bound to find some sort of clue.
Clarissa: Don't worry, Melissa--I know you'll find your Yggdrasil System. I'll certainly be rooting for you!
Melissa: Thanks.
Melissa: When I tell most people about the Yggdrasil System, they usually call me a swindler or a wacko...
Melissa: To have someone believe me, and even root for me... It sends a little tingle down my spine, you know?

[The player regains control.]

(Shop)
Melissa (yellow !): By the way...do you mind if I ask you something? It's nothing major, really, but...

[Clarissa and Felius talk to Melissa inside the shop. Clarissa looks a little surprised.]

Clarissa: Hm? What is it? Is something bothering you?
Melissa: Well, this is kind of hard to say, but... Have you bathed at all recently...?
Clarissa: --?!
Melissa: Oh, don't get me wrong. I understand that it's a hard life out there for Drifters, and that personal hygiene can't be a top priority--

[Clarissa clenches her fists and gets defensive.]

Clarissa: No! It's not like that! There's a perfectly good reason for this!
Clarissa: On our way here, I fell into this really nasty mud puddle, and I can't get the smell off my clothes...
Melissa: Is that what happened?
Clarissa: Yes! That's exactly what happened!
Melissa: So...you decided to just keep walking around in awful-smelling clothes?
Clarissa: Uh...yeah, I guess I did...
Melissa: Well, then I guess I'll have to give you a little bonus on top of your reward! How about I buy you a new outfit?

[Labyrinthia suddenly pops up behind Melissa.]

Labyrinthia: Oh, please do!
Clarissa: Ack! Where'd you come from?! Please, Labyrinthia, I don't need your help right now...

[Labyrinthia hangs her head a little, dejected.]

Labyrinthia: Clarissa seems to have some strange aversion to changing her clothes...

[Clarissa puts her hands on her hips and pouts.]

Clarissa: That's not... Don't say things like that!

[Melissa turns to Labyrinthia.]

Melissa: My daughter Clarissa is the same way! She wants to wear the same thing every single day.
Labyrinthia: I understand exactly how you must feel.
Clarissa: Hey! Don't you go getting all chummy with her!
Melissa: I have to admit, I saw an outfit the other day that I thought was really cute, though I'm a bit too old for it myself...

[Labyrinthia looks up and smiles.]

Labyrinthia: Ah, indeed. Girls just love those cute, frilly clothes, no matter how old they get.
Clarissa: You're just loving this, aren't you?! Go ahead, keep talking like I'm not even here! Don't mind me! Have your fun!

[Melissa turns to Clarissa and the two women stare at her.]

Labyrinthia: Clarissa...
Clarissa: What?!
Labyrinthia: I don't see why you shouldn't accept her offer?
Clarissa: ...
Labyrinthia: Melissa seems intent on pampering you... So why not let her?
Clarissa: ...!
Melissa: That's right. Just relax, and leave everything to us!

[Clarissa slowly smiles, somewhat sheepishly.]

Clarissa: W-well...in that case, it's all right, I guess...
Melissa: I'll pick something out for you. Don't worry--I'll make sure it's something spectacular!
Clarissa: Th...thank you...
Melissa: That's a good girl. Nice and easy.
Labyrinthia: Now that we've agreed, shall we begin shopping? Of course, I'd be delighted to come along and help Clarissa try on her new clothes.
Clarissa: (I knew she was going to say that...)

[Time passes as we hear the shuffling of clothes and zippers.]

Melissa: Well then, let's see how it looks. I know I'm the one who picked it out, but I still can't wait to see!
Felius: ...Why exactly is our presence required?
Ragnar: Actually, I helped a bit with the tailoring. I'm eager to see how it all turned out myself.
Felius: ...
Felius: That's right... You were the one who helped make the costume that Princess Alexia wore at the Guardian Temple, weren't you?
Ragnar: Is that so surprising? Sewing is among the many talents a well-prepared soldier is expected to bring on the battlefield.
Ragnar: Perhaps I could offer you my services, if you're so inclined. Would it be so bad to wear something with a little color from time to time?
Felius: ...

[Over on the side, Alexia looks a little excited.]

Levin: Do...do you ever change your own clothes, Your Highness?
Alexia: Hmmm... Personally, I'm quite fond of these clothes. Do you find them unbecoming on me, Levin?
Levin: N...no! Not at all! They look great on you! I mean, I loved the way you looked in the dresses you wore around the castle, but this is great too! Really!
Alexia: Thank you, Levin.
Alexia: I think your clothes suit you well, too. That ribbon-shaped tie of yours is really adorable.

[Levin looks a little dejected.]

Levin: "Adorable"...?
Levin: (So that's how Princess Alexia sees me...)
Levin: (Talk about a rude awakening...)
Levin: (I wonder how Clarissa sees me...?)
Levin: (...)
Levin: (...)
Levin: (...Argh...)
Levin: (The more I think about it, the more confused I get! My brain is stuck in an endless loop here!)
Levin: (...)
Levin: *Sigh*
Alexia: ...?
Labyrinthia: Ahem... Thank you all for being so patient. It is my honor to present to you...the new Clarissa!

[Clarissa walks in, dressed in a short blue dress, a jacket and thigh-level stockings. Her hair is pulled up in high pigtails.]

Clarissa: What...what do you think? It's a little over-the-top, isn't it?

[Levin holds a hand to his chest, staring at her wide-eyed.]

Levin: ...
Alexia: Wow...that's a whole new style for you, Clarissa! I love it!
Clarissa: R...really? Thanks, but I...I don't know... I wouldn't have chosen something like this myself...
Melissa: If it wasn't for me, you'd have picked something just as boring as the last one! You mustn't be afraid to be noticed, Clarissa!

[Clarissa pouts.]

Clarissa: You're really enjoying this, aren't you? You're just having all sorts of fun with me today...
Melissa: Hey, come on! I chose something wonderful for you! This is exactly how I'd dress my own daughter if she were older, you know.
Clarissa: ...
Melissa: Well? Is that all you have to say?
Clarissa: ...
Clarissa: ...
Clarissa: ...
Clarissa: Thank you... I really appreciate this. I'll treasure it always...
Melissa: Well, you're certainly welcome.

[The player regains control.]

(Shop)
Melissa: If you liked it, then that's all I need to hear.

[Another scene starts upon trying to leave the town.]

Melissa: Hey! Wait up!
Clarissa: Melissa?
Melissa: Oh, good... I was afraid you'd already left town.
Clarissa: Is something wrong?
Melissa: Everything's fine. I was just hoping that I could hide you for one more job.
Melissa: I was planning to return to the capital to collect my daughter. Would you be willing to escort me there?
Clarissa: Your daughter...?

[Clarissa turns to the others.]

Felius: You don't need to concern yourself with us, Clarissa. Whatever you want to do is fine.
Clarissa: Thank you, Felius, everyone...

[She turns back to Melissa.]

Clarissa: Melissa... We accept.
Melissa: Great! Elesius is a pretty peaceful country, but that doesn't make it safe, after all. I'll be counting on you!
Clarissa: We won't let you down.
Melissa: Oh, hey, I've been meaning to tell you... You've heard that Elesius has recently begun restricting the use of ARM Access Points, right?
Melissa: Well, it turns out the Access Point in this town won't be removed until the end of the month, after they finish investigating of the new mine shaft.
Melissa: If you guys haven't done a download recently, why not check it out? There might be some good classes here.

[They return to the shop and find the Access Point.]

Clarissa: An Access Point...
Labyrinthia: That's right.
Labyrinthia: The Access Points in our own time may be tainted with the threat of the black ARMs, but in this era, there shouldn't be anything to worry about...
Ragnar: So by using this, we can download new classes to use whenever we want...
Clarissa: Yeah... I hope there are some classes that we haven't already downloaded...

-You unlocked the Nightstalker class!-
-You unlocked the Emulator class!-
-You unlocked the Extremist class!-
-You unlocked the High Cavalier class!-

[Elsewhere in the world, in a high-tech lab...]

Mysterious Old Man: --?!
Mysterious Old Man: These compositional waveforms... They could only belong to someone from Elw Borea. And these biopatterns...!
Mysterious Old Man: ...
Mysterious Old Man: Heh heh heh heh. It's been a while, but you finally made it, eh, Felius?
Mysterious Old Man: Oh, how long you've made me wait! Till my wits abandoned me! Till my body writhed with anticipation!
Mysterious Old Man: I scattered Access Points around Filgaia like a ring of chimes, just to find you. And you've finally rung one.
Mysterious Old Man: Now if I can only catch you, the Lombardia will be mine...
Mysterious Old Man: At last I'll be able to settle this grudge you and those fools have left me with.
Mysterious Old Man: I shall have my revenge... Yes, this is revenge, Felius!
Mysterious Old Man: ...
Mysterious Old Man: This body won't be serviceable for much longer. I'll make a new one for our reunion.
Mysterious Old Man: I'll look forward to meeting you...as Weisheit!
Weisheit: Heh heh heh heh... Hah hah hah hah hah hah hah!
Weisheit: So long as we're on the same world, I will find you, and I will catch you, no matter where you are.
Weisheit: You won't escape. You can't escape! Because you're mine!
Weisheit: Hah hah hah hah... Bwah hah hah hah hah hah hah!

[On the world map, Elensia is marked with a yellow !. A link forms to Path of the Unjust, marked with a red !. Said location is then connected to The Flatwoods to connect with Rasalom Keep and then Elensia, but the link remains undone.]

-Road to the Capital-

[A carriage runs by.]

Levin: We sure have seen a lot of carriages lately. And they're all heading the same direction as us...
Melissa: You haven't heard? There's going to be a parade in the capital.
Clarissa: A parade?
Melissa: Yep. The Founding Day Parade.
Alexia: Is it that season now?
Melissa: Apparently the king himself will be attending, and he'll be accompanied by both of the princesses.
I hear the Princess Royal is almost three, and the second princess has just had her first birthday.
Alexia: ...
Melissa: All of these carriages are probably carrying visitors who're coming to see the parade, or merchants who've come to sell to the spectators.

[Tony whines.]

Ragnar: What is it, Tony? Ah... I see what you smell...

[Ragnar folds his arms and walks up behind two familiar bandits.]

Ragnar: Hold up a minute! Haven't we met before?

[The two jump in surprise.]

Bandit El Jackson: (...What the...!)
Bandit Samille: (Why do they have to run into us at a time like this...?)
Ragnar: I don't suppose you two have reformed yourselves and found legitimate work as festival merchants?

[They turn to face him.]

Bandit El Jackson: Eee hee hee hee hee...
Man in Peasant Hat: What's going on there?

[They turn again to see a man in blue with a large hat that overshadows his eyes.]

Bandit El Jackson: Ah, brother Lluvia...
Lluvia: Someone you know? Because if so, that would mean your faces are known as well...
Bandit El Jackson: Yeah... Sorry about that.
Lluvia: ...Eliminate them. I will not allow our plans to be blown over some chance meeting!
Bandit Samille: But those guys... They call themselves Chevalet Blanc, and they're really tough...
Lluvia; "Chevalet Blanc"... That was the order of knights that founded Elesius, was it not? Oh well...it hardly matters.
Lluvia: ...
Lluvia: If you aren't capable of killing them, then I'll kill the two of you myself. If you don't like that plan, take care of them here and now!
Lluvia: I'm going on ahead. I dare not be late.
Lluvia: Just in case, I'll leave several of my men with you. But I warn you again: Do not fail me.

[He turns and leaves. The two then face the party.]

Bandit El Jackson: Eee hee hee hee hee. Guess we're gonna kill you! We don't have much of a choice!
Bandit Samille: Man, talk about bein' caught between a rock and a hard place... How'd this happen to us? We used to be nobleman soldiers!
Labyrinthia: You know what they say about cornered rats. So don't get cocky, anyone!
Bandit El Jackson: Wait, wait...what?! So *we're* the cornered rats? How rude! You're gonna pay for that!

[Felius turns to Melissa.]

Felius: Fall back to somewhere safe, Melissa.
Melissa: Right! I'll stay out of your way!

[She runs back. Tactical Map style...]

Samille: You may think we're just a couple of punks, but let me tell you, we were the heroes of more than one battle in the wars of Elesius!
El-Jackson: Eee hee hee hee hee! Time to unleash the lions lurking inside, huh?
Our crack teamwork's backed up by the trust we have in each other! And our skills... They're the ultimate of the ultimate, and they're rarin' to go!
Samille: ...
How can skills be "rarin' to go"? They're skills, man.
El-Jackson: Look, it doesn't matter, partner! Stop worrying about crap like that!
Let's just take care of these guys and catch up with Lluvia already!

=D.E.R.=

Labyrinthia: Let's take a look at the Tactical Map we'll be fighting on.
Labyrinthia: We'll be starting here...
Labyrinthia: And the enemy line looks like this. They've spread out in pairs...
Labyrinthia: With a setup like this, it's likely the paired units will be supporting each other with some kind of defensive skill.
Labyrinthia: If we can physically separate the paired units, we can prevent them from shoring up each other's defenses...
That, or we can use our own skills to negate whatever defensive bonuses they're trying to attain.
Labyrinthia: Offensive power isn't the only response to a strong defense. Effectively managing your classes and skills can play a far more important role.

Samille: You guys better believe I'm serious this time...things being the way they are and all.
El-Jackson: What're you talking about! I'm always serious! Like, 120 percent! No butts, no glory, or whatever!

[The battle ends when all enemies have been defeated.]

Bandit El Jackson: Eheh... We got no chance of winning this...
Bandit El Jackson: Guess we really are just bandits. We may claim to be nobleman soldiers, but we still get our butts kicked every time...
Bandit Samille: If we keep fighting, we're dead. And if we give up and go back, we're dead. So all that's left is to run somewhere far away...

[They turn and run off.]

Levin: Man, you sure spotted them quickly. I never would have noticed... They all look the same to me.
Ragnar: I must admit I'm much more skilled at recognizing ladies...
Ragnar: But those two make an unusually strong impression. I couldn't forget those faces if I tried.

[Labyrinthia brings her hand to her chin.]

Labyrinthia: ...

[Alexia does the same.]

Alexia: Is something wrong?
Labyrinthia: No, it's nothing... I was just thinking back to our first encounter with those bandits in our own time...
Labyrinthia: ...
Labyrinthia: Do you remember that, Clarissa? The very first time we met them?
Labyrinthia: We didn't know who they were, but they were speaking as if they had already met us at some point...

[Clarissa brings her finger to her cheek.]

Clarissa: Hmm...they were?
Labyrinthia: Yes, I'm quite certain. It didn't strike me as particularly significant at the time, but...
Labyrinthia: But wouldn't that mean...
Labyrinthia: That the present-time world from which we came had already been shaped by our actions in the past?
Clarissa: You're right! And that would mean...
Clarissa: ...
Clarissa: Uh...what exactly would that mean?
Labyrinthia: It means that the events that we've involved ourselves in here have actually always been a part of our own time's history.
Labyrinthia: So we have no need to actively avoid creating time paradoxes. Everything that we do is already predestined to happen!

[Alexia smiles.]

Alexia: So we don't need to constantly worry about watching our every single action, about even brushing away a spark from a flame?
Labyrinthia: ...
Labyrinthia: I can't imagine you actually concerning yourself with such matters, Your Highness...but yes, that is basically what I'm saying.
Clarissa: So we can do whatever we want. In fact, we're supposed to do whatever we want...
Clarissa: What we want to do is return to our time--
Clarissa: To reclaim Elesius from the hands of the Council, and return peace to its people!
Clarissa: So let's find a way back to our own time!

[The screen fades to black and the player is prompted to save.]
