Build A House

Jul 08, 2012 15:11

Build a house of ash and clay,

To hide the secret child away.

Seal it off with bones and books,

Hide the truth where no one looks.

Come again, turn and fall,

Change the past, undo it all.

Fire the ash, turn out the clay,

Bricks and glass keep all away.

Turn and watch, turn to flee,

Written on skin for all to see.

The sky above, the earth below,

The garden green, the fire low.

Skin and bones and books and clay,

To hide the secret child away.
