So tonight was interesting. It started alright, in fact it started quite well.
I had my first real day at work, and that went well. This evening, I went to a lecture at Western Michigan University presented by Dr. John Corvino. For those who don't know, he is a philosophy professor who has spoken for audiences sinec 1992 on the issues of Homosexuality and Morality. He is also known as "The Gay Moralist" in many aspects of the media. It was a wonderful lecture, and I enjoyed it immensely.
Afterward, the party moved to my friend's apartment, where we drank and prepared to go see the Saw V opening show.
If you haven't seen it yet, one word of advice. DON'T SEE IT DRUNK!!!!!!!
It's is moreso a mindfuck. Truly.
Adam was already rther annoyed.
Story: While at his apartment, one of my exes was also planning on seeing the movie. For some reason, he won't talk to me. I have no problem with him, I wouldn't mind being friends, or even just on speaking terms with him. But for some reason he won't talk to me. If I'm in the same car, or hanging around the same people, he can't handle it. And it doesn't make any fucking sense to me.
Anywho, he was also going to the movie. We get there, and I wave, and he at least waves back. But my frend is adamant that he doesn't want us to fight, or for there to be any drama. No problem. Because I forgot the money for my ticket at home, and had to borrow $5 from my friend to go and get a ticket. By the time I got to the ticket booth, one of the auditoriums was full. So I couldn't stay in the same theater as my friends.
My friend was pissed, and said just to stay because he saved me a seat. Which I couldn't, because my ticket was for another theater and their theater was sold out. The staffer at the door even kept my ID to be sure I would be back out after I gave my friend his change from buying my ticket.
I was fine with that. I went to the auditorium, after trying to explain to my friend that I couldn't stay with them. While waiting for the movie to start, my other friend was in my theater and we sat together. She told my other friend that I was with her, and we'd meet up after the show.
But, after the movie was over, we got out and were waiting for our friend, but he never showed. After she called him, we found out he left without me. And they had originally given me a ride to the theater.
They left without me.
He isn't getting his money back for buying my ticket. It really pissed me off. It was a shitty thing to do. He knew I was with my friend, he could have called and said they were leaving. But we didn't hear anything, and they just left. Luckily, I was able to get a ride from my other friend. If they hadn't been there, I might have been stranded at the theater and faced a 5-mile walk home. Without a phone by which I could call someone for a ride. It would have sucked.
But whatever, I'm not going to stay pissed, it won't do any good. I'll just rant about it here, and go on with my life. But I'm not going to trust him for a ride for a while, unless I'm right with them and leave wherever we are with them.
It just pisses me off.
Okay, I'm done ranting.
