Thanks :) The pattern calls for Star toe, which finishes off the last of the leaves perfectly. I usually do the round toe. I find a lot of the other toes, look boxy when they are finished. The round toe seems to create a more tapered natural shape. Star toe is a variation of the round toe. I learned it from one of Nancy Bush's books. The heel on this sock has a garter edge and plain stockinette heel flap. I was going to do my usual Eye of The Partridge heel, but went with the pattern in the end. Because the yarn is so soft I am hoping that this won't be a problem. Shouldn't be, as I usually wear clogs :) My daughter's feet are much bigger then mine which is why I started making socks to begin with. She could never buy girly socks. This pair fits her around, but are too short. That doesn't mean she won't wear them :D Grace I wouldn't wear these in the dead of winter, I have cold feet too. But they are a nice light weight pair to wear to a summer movie, with the a/c in the sub freezing range. And they are ok for spring, cool but not cold. :)
