These just came out of the oven. The dish is called Maryland Ham Pie, from "The Good Cook," by Anne Willan. It's filled with thinly sliced ham and dark greens seasoned with a noticeable (but not overpowering) dose of spicy heat. It's got just a little bit of creamy custard poured over the filling before the top goes on. Very delicious!
