It's the "we're no longer dating" post!!
We're engaged!!
We spent some time picking out the ring together, but it was ordered custom and had to be shipped. Mike led me to believe it wouldn't be here for another week or more (this is just before we went to Washington for Christmas). Unbeknownst to me, it came a day or two before we flew up there.
The first morning we were in Tacoma, before we'd seen any family, he wanted to go to a park he used to go to when he was little. But I thwarted his efforts and insisted we go later so we could get on to visiting my mom. He ended up proposing and give me the ring in the driveway of the best man's house - but he had me all gathered up in his arms so I really didn't notice anything else :) And we were able to show our families that day!!
