A sad man.

He walked down his street, grey and bleak, and though it was cold where he was he went down to the corner store. His footsteps were slow and tired. His hair was matted and unwashed. His clothes were dark and dreary like his demeanor, but he continued anyway. When he arrived at his destination he met a girl who would save him from this cold and unforgiving technology of our century. Many years later we see the absence of this man. The street is empty, the store closed, and his neighbors homes abandoned, but he is there in a room full of dust and sadness. The girl has left him. The clouds are thicker. The horizon vanished, and his tears are falling.
