I've recently been getting into Marvel stuff, although I remember Sebastian from waaaaaaaaay back when The Covenant was first released, haha. I actually saw that silly film in the cinema :P
Sebastian is really an incredible actor, it's so painful that he gets those roles that are just not executed well. (Chris Evans is kinda in that same boat). The concepts are interesting but uugghh
I have to talk about The Winter Soldier for a bit. I dunno if you've seen it, but it's not only the best Marvel has done in my opinion, it's just a good MOVIE. it's so thrilling and actually kinda creepy and everyone is so good in it.
I haven't seen it yet! I only saw the first one, because I adore Hayley Atwell and Richard Armitage, but I haven't seen the new one. Is it better? I liked the first one, but it seemed kinda slow or something. Then again, I felt the same way about Thor, and I fell in love with The Dark World, so you never know ;)
I think it is WAY better. Not that the first one was bad, but in this one, I think everything was just better. My problem with Cap 1 is near the end (after the train bit) I get lost in the CGI, it feels like too much. The music was way over the top and I think we lose "steve" by the end of it, I dunno if that makes sense.
Cap 2 the story was stronger, the acting was great (particularly TWS), the score is incredible ("the winter soldier" track and the "captain america" track PERFECTLY characterize those characters, I could talk about those two tracks all day), the direction was better, all the relationships felt genuine and it was really thrilling. LOVED. IT.
Ahh that's really good to know! I shall certainly check it out! I'm going to watch Agent Carter definitely because Hayley is fabulous. Mostly I'm hoping Marvel will get with the times and make some lady!hero films.
Oh goodness, I love Sebastian Stan. I think I actually first saw him on Gossip Girl haha. But I love him on OUAT as the Mad Hatter and of course, as Bucky. He kept breaking my heart in Winter Soldier with all his puppy dog eyes! :P
I'd love to be friends with you - we have some other common interest too, SPN, Sherlock, Sleepy Hollow (can't wait for that show to come back!), OUAT, Marvel. I like Bucky/Natasha too - I'm sort of 'out' as a Clint/Natasha shipper, but I secretly ship Bucky and Natasha too haha :)
