That's cool! It's a really good start. I know how it is when you have a new program and you want to play around with it to see all of what it can do.
I have one suggestion: If you make something big like that, make it wallpaper sized. Like 800x600, 1024x768, or 1600x1200 if it's /really/ big. If it's wallpaper-sized, people are more likely to use it; otherwise, no matter how much they love it, they can't do much with it, unless they make their own wallpaper, but that wouldn't turn out as well.
I REALLY love the lightning there. The one that's the brightest is the best, but the one over to the left that goes down across one of their chests has lines that are a bit too curvy.
Other than that, if you did something in the future, refine it a little bit, so it's not /just/ cool-looking; so that it has more depth and interest in being more realistic.

GIMP basically is photoshop...only thing is the features have different names, are in different places, there a few different features, and a few other minor all around differences with the program.
I had GIMP until just recently. More than long enough to know what I was doing. Yes, it is very helpful, but I'll still say this one is better...and not just in a user-friendly way. More features, more tools. All around better.

Good job!

You might understand the GIMP... I took 2 years of digital photo and it helped a little.
