I don't know why the Rail websites won't take VISA, or my Solo card. Which makes things a little more difficult for me because it means I've got to go to the train station to purchase my tickets, and they don't always have the cheap prices they do online. Its especially going to be a bitch when I have to go down and buy tickets for my dad and I, or maybe us two and Manda and Nate, for when they come to visit in June and July. I'm hoping the station will have somewhat cheap prices, because if I could buy them online now, at this very moment, the price tag comes to 94 GBP, which is pretty awesome considering how many places I'm going.
On the other side of things, I've booked all but one of my hostels for my wee trip around the UK. There aren't any hostels in Carlisle, at least they aren't open until summertime. So at least I have places to stay.
Other news: one last essay, maybe my last one ever. I've been turning in such crap this year. I make me sad. This last essay will be no different. But, hey! Exciting trip to a cool house on Wednesday! I love having friends with cars! Who also want to go to fun places!
It was funny today- Liz finally interviewed me for her dissertation on Forest Gump and the American Dream. One of the questions was: Do you think Forest Gump is propaganda, promoting the American dream? And my answer was: well, I can see how it could be, but no, it isn't, but I can see how it is, but I don't see it as propaganda, but maybe it is. And then Liz said that most people she talked to (who are British) totally think its propaganda. I realised today that, goddamnit, I really am an American. Damn. Blast. Feck. Arse. Suppose you can't help where you're born and 18 years of pro-America drillings into your head. Liz also has a theory that in most, if not all, Hollywood films (independent ones exempt) has an American flag in it. Interesting, now I will be looking for them.
And I still love Lost, even though this week's episode was a bit crap.
