my journey is almost over, just a few more hours. i'm in vancouver. i've hardly slept in 4 days. i got wasted with my sister in indy on the 3rd and went up to chicago the next day. after spending 14 hours there, eric and jon arrived from toronto and picked me up. we drove straight to kelowna, BC, stopping at the corn palace in mitchell, south dakota, as well as the badlands national park and mt. rushmore. we slept in the van for a few hours in wyoming. we stopped in wallace, idaho. there we chilled out at the local pub. i played the piano, made $20 in tips, and befriended a few locals. eric bought a marching band bass drum at a pawn shop. we arrived in kelowna at 3am last night, slept in the van for a few hours, and got on the bus to vancouver at 8am, leaving eric behind to play in a musical on a farm for 2 months. i have another bus ride and a ferry ride ahead of me before i finally arrive at mayne island.
