Whatever my mood is, I tend to listen to music that enhances it. Or if I need to put myself in a certain mind set when I write, I'll pick out some songs or bands to fit the scene. (For some reason, Three Days Grace and The Rasmus seem to cater very much to BTSLG.) Music fuels my actions, I'm either listening to it, playing it, or thinking about it. I've got a playlist that I play in my head and I'll sometimes sing under my breath in the hallway at school.
Happy- I'm not too picky if I'm feeling good about life, but it's pretty much anything upbeat or funny- generally rock, parody, showtunes, instrumental, or strange songs by bands that no one's heard of before. If I'm in a good mood, I tend to stay away from slow or depressing.
Sad- The exact opposite, but sort of the same genres since they all have happy and sad songs. But Celtic Women, Simple Plan, Heather Dale, Evanescence, and piano covers of Linkin Park and the Okami soundtrack pop up a lot.
Bored- Absolutely anything, doesn't matter what the song is, but I tend to get into Alkaline Trio, Skillet, The Offspring, Trocadero, Linkin Park, Kiss, 30 Seconds to Mars, Queen, Coldplay, Nightwish, Styx, Boston, AC/DC, The Killers, several Japanese artists, my favorite classical songs, and soundtracks from movies/musicals. But just to be clear, I will seriously listen to anything except country, rap, hip-hop, anything that's been produced by Disney Channel "stars," and most contemporary R&B.
Hyped- POLKA!!!! It is just the happiest freaking music ever. I will bounce to it no matter what I'm doing or where I am, because it makes me want to dance so much! (It's because I'm a Polock.) Plus nothing says "Praise the Lord!" for my family more than our Sunday morning polka on the way to church. XD My favorite polka song, as of late, has remarkably come from Red vs Blue. It's the song the Red Team plays when they're driving in the Warthog (the original at least, they had to change it for copyright reasons, but the old one is so much cooler).

Once I get my license, I'm going to drive into the school parking lot with this song blasting in my car- windows down. XD I have to do it, just once, then I'll be fine.
There are also my silly bands- Lemon Demon, Arrogant Worms, Wierd Al Yankovic, etc., and then Avenue Q, Little Shop of Horrors, Spamalot, and Wicked which make me very happy. Or I'll pick specific songs from other bands that make me feel good about life. I'll even listen to some techno, but only if it's instrumental. By the time lyrics are added, it's just lame.
Mad- Heavy metal or rock that's hard enough to make me feel like I could kick some ass. Pretty much anything that sounds angry. Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Alice Cooper, System of a Down- yeah, all those fun ones. :) Oh, and anything in German will usually suffice.
