I am currently dedicated to a irrational cause that will not benefit me in any way shape or form in the real world.
So I bought Pokemon: Soul Silver at the convention, right? Well this morning I finally got that Eevee from Bill, and for the bulk of the day I've been trying to make its Happiness level rise to its maximum. Know why? So I can evolve it into Umbreon when night comes.
I've even looked up the best way to do this on Google. Basically I just have to have it as the first Pokemon in my party (which in this game means it gets to follow me everywhere! 8D), feed it vitamins, have it battle occasionally, and walk around. I'm to a point where I'm just riding my bike through the middle road of Goldenrod City because it's the largest town. I guess I have to take about 10,000 steps before my Eevee is happy enough to evolve, and I haven't been keeping track but I'm pretty damn close- I can feel it! Plus the lady in Goldenrod who rates the Happiness level said, "I get the feeling that it really trusts you," so hopefully it'll happen soon. Besides, I have two hours before the time frame for Umbreon evolution begins. The sun is still setting in my game, it's not officially "nighttime" yet, so she'll be ready by then! (Yes, I purposefully restarted my game until the Eevee was a girl so I could breed it later and have all the evolutions.)
This is one of the reasons why I feel that I am qualified to be a genuine nerd, and not one of those posers who occasionally watch Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, and call themselves nerds. No. You've got to be practically married to a fandom or care about something completely irrelevant to real life almost to a level of obsession before you can call yourself a nerd. (Or just be really fucking smart to a point where no one can understand what you're saying. Like Sheldon. lol)
I have no idea where that last paragraph came from, but who cares? I'm back in a PokeNerd phase and I am loving it!
nerds,
someone shut me up,
